This study examines the Korean premiere of , staged in June 2026, through the framework of the theatrical dispositif, focusing on how the protagonist’s sexual desire and relational failures are articulated through direct address and self-exposure. As a monodrama, the production employs nonlinear modes of address to draw spectators into Fleabag’s self-narrative. Her subjectivity is not presented as a stable or preexisting identity; rather, it is continuously constructed and unsettled through the intersection of the performer’s body, speech, and gaze with audience response. Fleabag’s self-exposure is therefore ambivalent: it opens up the possibility of autonomous self-expression while recasting relational inequality and emotional injury as matters of individual choice and responsibility. The analysis is informed primarily by Lorenz Aggermann’s account of theater as dispositif, supplemented by postfeminist theories of self-responsibility and Gilles Deleuze’s concept of the line of flight. The findings show that direct address positions the performer simultaneously as character, narrator, and interlocutor, creating a metatheatrical relationship in which audience response becomes integral to Fleabag’s self-narration. This shift is interpreted not as complete emancipation but as a line of flight (ligne de fuite): an immanent reconfiguration of the performer–audience relationship that emerges as the arrangement sustained by humor and audience approval loses its stability. By extending the concept of the theatrical dispositif to a scene-based analysis of embodied performance and spectatorship, this study demonstrates that women’s self-expression may reinforce self-surveillance and self-responsibility even as it appears to affirm autonomy. Since the analysis is limited to a single performance, its findings cannot be generalized across different performers or audiences. Future research should compare cast interpretations, examine audience reception empirically, and investigate media-specific and translational differences among the original stage production, the television series, and the Korean premiere.
