From the providential perspective of the True Parents Principle, this study examines the theological significance of the ‘Epic History of the Chosen Han People of Korea,’ focusing on two primary axes: the origin of the chosen people and the essence of their faith. These two tasks stem from the premise that if the Han people of Korea was nurtured as a chosen people from its very origin, its inherent spirituality and religiosity would contain the foundation to attend Heavenly Parent and receive True Parents. The findings reveal that regarding the origin of the chosen Han people of Korea, the view tracing it back to the period following the only-begotten Son Jesus 2,000 years ago and the view tracing it back 5,000 years are not mutually contradictory; rather, they can be comprehensively understood through the perspective of the chosen people within the True Parents Principle. Furthermore, this paper argues that the unique spirituality and religiosity of the chosen Han people of Korea can be encapsulated as ‘Hanism.’ This ideology embodies faith in Heavenly Parent as the source of all creation, the Heart of Han (grief/resentment) felt by Heavenly Parent due to the human Fall, and the spirit of Cheon-Ji-In (Heaven-Earth- Human) unity where heaven, earth, and humankind harmonize as one. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that these elements have functioned as an internal foundation of the chosen people, yearning for the manifestation of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind.

본 논문은 참부모론의 섭리적 관점에서 ‘한민족선민대서사시’가 지니는 신학적 의미를 선민의 기원과 신앙의 본질이라는 두 축을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 이 두 가지 과제는 ‘한민족이 그 기원에서부터 선민으로 길러졌다면 그들의 본질적 영성 및 종교성 안에는 하늘부모님을 모시고 참부모를 맞이할 수 있는 토대가 있을 것이다’라는 추론에서 비롯된다. 연구 결과, 한민족 선민의 기원에 관해서는 2천 년 전 독생자 예수 이후부터라는 의견과 반만년 전부터라는 의견이 상호 모순되는 것이 아닌, 참부모론의 두 선민론 관점에서 통합적으로 이해될 수 있음을 밝혔다. 또한 한민족 선민의 고유한 영성 및 종교성은 ‘한’사상(Hanism)으로 집약될 수 있고, 그 안에는 만유의 근원이신 하늘부모님을 향한 신앙, 인간 타락으로 인한 하늘부모님의 한(恨)의 심정, 그리고 하늘과 땅과 인간이 하나로 어우러지는 천지인 합일 정신이 내포되어 있어 결국 천지인참부모 현현을 염원하는 선민의 내적 기대로 작용해 왔음을 논증하였다.
