Business professionals in the beauty industry explored psychological counseling for utilizing artificial intelligence in the Al era and discussed strategies for training to enable such counseling. First, training is required for beauty industry workers to cultivate an attitude and mindset of accepting customers' verbal and non-verbal cues. Second, regarding emotional labor, methods are needed to simultaneously train emotional management, task processing ability, and resilience in the face of work-related incidents, as well as mastery and training in emotional detachment and metacognition. Third is fundamental literacy. Training is necessary to adapt counseling methods for each session or to find common ground based on the level of Korean language and numeracy skills required for communication. Korean language proficiency refers not merely to the ability to write the Korean language, but to the ability to understand, comprehend, and paraphrase most expressions available in any native language. Numeracy, on the other hand, involves training to enhance problem- solving speed and accuracy by simplifying necessary elements and converting them into commonly accepted symbols, whereas Korean language proficiency involves the ability to arrange information based on cause and effect. These two basic competencies have so far been relegated to home education rather than being taught in elementary, middle, high schools, or universities, yet they are essential skills required for entering the workforce. Therefore, if professionals in the structured beauty industry develop the ability to utilize technologies such as artificial intelligence, it will be organically possible to establish sustainable revenue models within the beauty industry.
