This paper examines how the yin-yang relationships of the Hétú(河圖) and luòshū(洛書), together with the cyclical generation and overcoming relationships of the Five Phases, are embodied within the theoretical system of Mingli(Four Pillars of destiny). The principal references for this study include the “Hétú Luòshū” section in Part I of Yìxuéqǐméng(易學啓蒙), as well as discussions in classical Mingli texts concerning the significance of yin-yang and Five-Phase circulation, numerical principles, and methodological structures. In this context, the specific Naeum Five Phases(納音五行) represent not only the yin-yang and Five-Phase attributes of the entire sexagenary cycle, but also their symbolic correspondences and material manifestations. This study comparatively analyzes the interpretive system of yin-yang and the Five Phases in Mingli, along with the arrangement of the Naeum Five Phases, in relation to the yin-yang and Five-Phase theories of the Hétú Luòshū. Mingli studies interpret the destiny(ming, 命) bestowed upon a person at birth through the Four Pillars composed of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of the year, month, day, and hour, and reveal distinctions of fortune and status through their yin-yang and Five-Phase relationships. More specifically, the cyclical generation and overcoming relationships of the Five Phases express the biological and social relationships surrounding the Day Master, the central subject of the Four Pillars, while the dynamic interactions among them are used to infer various narratives and transformations of destiny. In general, the principles of “yang proceeding forward and yin proceeding in reverse”(陽順陰逆) and the generative and overcoming cycles of the Five Phases are regarded as the primary interpretive mechanisms of Four Pillars analysis. However, the allocation system of the Naeum Five Phases provides an even richer structure of Five-Phase circulation. This study further investigates how the forward and reverse movements, mutual correspondences, and cyclical generation and overcoming relationships found in the Hétú Luòshū mutually function as substance(ti, 體) and application(yong, 用), thereby forming a shared cosmological principle, and how the cyclical laws of the Naeum Five Phases are interconnected with these concepts.

본 논문은 ｢하도｣⋅｢낙서｣의 음양 관계와 오행 생극의 순환이 명리학 이론에 구현된 내용을 연구한 것이다. 주요 참고 자료로는 『역학계몽』 제1편의 ｢하도낙서｣와 전통 명리학 고전에 쓰인 음양오행 생극 순환의 의의, 수리와 방법론 등이다. 이글에서 특정한 납음 오행은 육십갑자 전체의 음양오행에 그 물상까지 나타낸 것이다. 본 연구는 명리학의 음양오행 해석 체계와 납음에 오행이 배치되는 방식을 ｢하도｣⋅｢낙서｣의 음양오행론과 비교 고찰하였다. 명리학은 사람이 태어나면서 부여받은 명(命)을 연월일시의 천간 지지 팔자로 나타내고 그들의 음양오행 관계를 통해 빈부귀천을 밝히는 것이다. 구체적으로는 오행의 생극 순환으로 일간이라는 팔자 주인의 생물학적, 사회적 관계를 나타내고 그들 간의 역학적 관계로 운명의 각종 서사 및 변화를 추론한다. 일반적으로 양순음역(陽順陰逆)이나 오행의 상생과 상극이라는 두 가지 순환이 팔자 해석의 주요 기제로 거론되지만, 납음 오행의 배속은 더욱 풍부한 오행 순환의 구조를 제공한다. 본 연구는 ｢하도｣⋅｢낙서｣의 음양 순역과 호환 그리고 오행 생극의 순환이 서로가 체가 되고 용이 되어 공용의 도리가 있다는 것과 납음오행의 순환 법칙이 이에 연계된 내용을 함께 고찰하였다.
