This paper studies Haddon Robinson's first-person narrative preaching as a way to reach today's audiences and shows how this method can be used in an actual sermon. The crisis in the Korean church pulpit today is not just about theological accuracy. It is a communication problem—how to deliver God's word to a changed audience. This paper first looks at the characteristics of today's audience. Modern listeners have a postmodern mindset that doubts absolute truth and authority. At the same time, they have a metamodern mindset, unable to fully believe or fully give up on big stories, and instead look for meaning through honest stories and images. For this kind of audience, a new way of preaching is needed—one that reaches people's hearts without feeling forced. In response, this paper studies first-person narrative preaching, developed by Hadd on Robinson and Torrey Robinson. This method is built on careful study of the Bible text, and tells the story from the viewpoint of a Bible character who witnessed the event. It offers an alternative to the repetitive and often boring traditional three-point sermon. The paper looks at three steps for using this method: choosing the text and studying it carefully, deciding on the character and point of view, and structuring the sermon for effective delivery. Finally, this method is applied to 1 Samuel 28:3-7. Using the character of Saul, the paper writes a sermon showing how a person called by God can gradually fall apart a fter stopping to obey God's voice. This shows that first-person narrative preaching is not just theory, but a method that works in real preaching. In conclusion, first-person narrative preaching combines careful study of the Bible with the power of story. This makes it a practical way to deliver biblical truth to today's audience in a personal and meaningful way.

본 논문은 변화하는 현대 청중에게 효과적으로 다가갈 수 있는 설교 방법론으로서 해돈 로빈슨의 1인칭 내러티브 설교를 연구하고, 이를 실제 설교에 적용하는 과정을 보여주는 것을 목적으로 한다. 오늘날 한국교회 강단의 위기는 설교 내용의 신학적 정확성만의 문제가 아니라, 변화된 청중에게 어떻게 말씀을 전달할 것인가 하는 커뮤니케이션의 문제이다. 이를 살펴보기 위해 먼저 현대청중의 특징을 분석한다. 오늘날 청중은 절대 진리와 권위를 의심하는 포스트모던적 사고방식과, 거대한 이야기를 완전히 믿지도 버리지도 못하면서 진정성 있는 이야기와 이미지를 통해 의미를 받아들이려는 메타모더니즘적 사고방식을 함께 지니고 있다. 이러한 청중에게는 일방적인 선포보다 청중의 마음을 거부감 없이 파고드는 새로운 설교 방법론이 필요하다. 이에 대한 응답으로 해돈 로빈슨과 토리 로빈슨이 제시한 1인칭 내러티브 설교를 살펴본다. 1인칭 내러티브 설교는 성경 본문에 대한 철저한 석의를 바탕으로, 성경의 인물이 되어 사건을 목격자의 시각에서 전하는 설교 형식이다. 이는 똑같은 형식이 반복되는 전통적인 삼대지 설교의 지루함을 극복할 수 있는 대안이 된다. 이 방법론을 실천하는 구체적인 절차로 본문선정과 석의, 인물설정과 입장의 결정, 설교의 구조화와 효과적인 전달이라는 세 단계를 살펴본다. 마지막으로 이 방법론을 사무엘상 28장 3-7절에 적용하여, 사울이라는 인물을 통해 하나님의 음성에 순종하기를 멈춘 사람이 어떻게 점점 무너져 가는지를 보여주는 설교문을 작성한다. 이를 통해 1인칭 내러티브 설교가 이론에 머물지 않고 실제 강단에서 쓸 수 있는 방법론임을 보여준다. 결론적으로 1인칭 내러티브 설교는 본문에 대한 철저한 석의 위에 이야기의 힘을 더함으로써, 현대 청중에게 성경의 진리를 인격적이고 체험적인 방식으로 전달할 수 있는 실천적인 방법이 된다.
