This study aims to examine the hermeneutical structure and homiletical significance of redemptive-historical preaching, focusing on the Christ -centered preaching principles of Sidney Greidanus. Contemporary preaching in the Korean church tends to lean toward moralistic interpretation and audience-centered application, resulting in the weakening of the redemptive-historical message and Christocentric focus inherent in the biblical text. In response, this study critically analyzes such tendencies and explores Greidanus’s homiletical theory as an alternative. The study first clarifies the concept and characteristics of preaching historical biblical texts and then analyzes the hermeneutical principles of Christ-centered preaching proposed by Greidanus. Particular attention is given to the methods of connecting the text to Christ, understanding the text within the flow of redemptive history, and the direction of homiletical application. Furthermore, the study discusses the theological and practical implications of these principles for the contemporary Korean church. This study argues that Greidanus’s preaching principles contribute significantly to restoring the unity of Scripture and its Christ-centered message. It also suggests a constructive direction for overcoming the limitations of moralistic preaching and for advancing toward redemptive-historical preaching in the Korean church.

본 연구는 시드니 그레이다누스의 그리스도 중심 설교 원리를 중심으로 역사적 본문 설교의 해석학적 구조와 설교학적 의의를 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 현대 한국교회의 설교는 도덕주의적 해석과 청중 중심의 적용에 치우치는 경향을 보이며, 그 결과 성경 본문이 지닌 구속사적 메시지와 그리스도 중심성이 약화되는 문제가 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 설교 현실을 비판적으로 분석하고, 그 대안으로서 그레이다누스의 설교 이론을 탐구한다. 연구는 먼저 역사적 본문 설교의 개념과 특징을 정리하고, 그레이다누스가 제시하는 그리스도 중심 설교의 해석학적 원리를 분석한다. 특히 본문과 그리스도 간의 연결 방식, 구속사적 흐름속에서의 본문 이해, 그리고 설교 적용의 방향성을 중점적으로 고찰한다. 이어서 이러한 원리가 한국교회 설교 상황에 어떠한 신학적·실천적 함의를 제공하는지를 논의한다. 본 연구는 그레이다누스의 설교 원리가 성경 본문의 통일성과 그리스도 중심성을 회복하는 데 중요한 기여를 할 수 있음을 밝히며, 나아가 한국교회 설교가 도덕주의적 한계를 극복하고 구속사적 설교로 나아가기 위한 방향을 제시한다.
