This study analyzes the linguistic and homiletical structure of discipleship discourse in Ok Han-heum’s expository sermons on the Gospel of John. The primary texts are the sixty-five sermons contained in The Gospel According to John, Vols. 1–3. While previous studies on Ok Han-heum have focused mainly on his discipleship ministry, lay ministry, pastoral leadership, and church renewal movement, this study examines his sermons as a large-scale textual corpus. Methodologically, the study employs keyword frequency analysis, volume-based comparison, sentence-level co-occurrence network analysis, and concept-based topic clustering. The analysis shows that the most frequent and central terms in Ok’s sermons are “Jesus” and “God,” while “faith/believe,” “word,” “gospel,” “love,” “disciple,” “cross,” and “world” form significant semantic networks. These findings indicate that Ok’s discipleship preaching does not begin with human will, moral effort, or training programs, but with the proclamation of the glory and life of Jesus Christ. The volume-based analysis further reveals a gradual homiletical movement from the identity of Jesus, to the authenticity of faith and following, to love and abiding, and finally to the cross and missional sending. This study argues that Ok Han-heum’s expository sermons on John provide a significant model of Reformed expository preaching that integrates textual faithfulness, Christ-centered proclamation, congregational formation, and missional discipleship.

본 연구는 옥한흠 목사의 『요한이 전한 복음』 1–3권에 수록된 총 65편의 요한복음 강해설교를 대상으로, 그의 설교에 나타난 제자도 담론의 언어 구조와 설교학적 구조를 분석한다. 기존 옥한흠 연구가 주로 제자훈련 목회, 평신도 사역론, 목회 리더십, 교회 갱신 운동을 중심으로 이루어 졌다면, 본 연구는 설교문 자체를 대량 텍스트 자료로 삼아 반복 개념어, 의미 연결망, 주제 군집을 분석함으로써 옥한흠 설교 연구의 방법론적 범위를 확장한다. 연구 방법으로는 핵심 개념어 빈도 분석, 권별 비교 분석, 문장 단위 동시출현 네트워크 분석, 개념어 기반 토픽 군집 분석을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 옥한흠의 요한복음 강해설교에서 가장 두드러진 개념어는 “예수”와 “하나님”이었으며, “믿음/믿다”, “말씀”, “복음”, “사랑”, “제자”, “십자가”, “세상”이 주요 의미망을 형성하였다. 이는 그의 제자도 설교가 인간의 결단이나 훈련 의지보다 예수 그리스도의 영광과 생명에 대한 선포를 우선한다는 점을 시사한다. 또한 권별 분석은 그의 설교가 예수의 정체성 선포, 믿음과 따름의 진정성, 사랑과 거함, 십자가와 파송의 흐름으로 전개됨을 드러낸다. 본 연구는 옥한흠의 요한복음 강해설교가 본문 중심성, 그리스도 중심성, 청중 형성, 사명적 파송을 결합한 개혁주의 강해설교의 중요한 사례임을 제시한다.
