This study aims to explore strategies for the sustainable development of sport history, a field currently facing significant challenges, through the application of artificial intelligence(AI). To this end, a literature review on AI-related studies and an examination of interdisciplinary convergence research cases were conducted. The results can be summarized as follows. First, it was confirmed that AI technologies make it possible to establish an efficient and fair peer-review system for academic papers in sport history. Second, advances in AI enable instructors of sport history courses to produce instructional videos using low-cost images, thereby reducing production expenses. Third, the increased efficiency of AI-driven video production processes makes it feasible to create low-budget commercial films based on sport history research outcomes. As discussed above, this study confirms the potential of AI to contribute to the sustainable development of sport history.

본 연구는 위기에 처한 체육사학의 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 방안을 AI를 통해 탐색해 보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 AI와 관련된 문헌분석과 학제 간 융합 연구의 사례를 검토하는 방법을 수행하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, AI 기술을 활용해 체육사 학술논문에 관한 효율적이고 공정한 동료 심사평가 시스템을 구축 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, AI 기술의 발전으로 체육사 수업 교수자를 위한 저비용의 이미지를 활용한 영상제작이 가능해졌다. 셋째, AI기술의 발전에 의한 영상제작 과정에서의 높은 효율성 제고는 체육사 연구결과물의 저예산 상업영화 제작을 가능하게 하였다. 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 체육사학은 AI를 활용하여 지속 가능한 발전을 이끌 수 있다는 가능성을 본 연구를 통해 확인 할 수 있었다.
