This study examines the modes and implications of multicultural practices carried out by Korean new religions, focusing on Won-Buddhism and Daesoon Jinrihoe. By analyzing their doctrinal foundations-such as Irwonsang and Samdongyunri(Ethics of Triple Identity) in Won-Buddhism, and the principles of Sangsaeng, Injon, Haewon, and Boeun in Daesoon thought-alongside their organizational structures and social practices, the research identifies key features of their engagement with multicultural society. Won-Buddhism has developed systematic, community-based practices through its vertically integrated organizations, including multicultural family support, cultural exchange, and welfare programs. Daesoon Jinrihoe, through the activities of DIVA and its threefold mission, conducts domestic and international relief, housing and medical assistance, and humanitarian outreach, demonstrating significant potential for expansion into multicultural welfare. The study argues that the inclusive orientations embedded in the doctrines of both traditions provide ethical frameworks for religious coexistence and complement the limitations of state-centered approaches. Ultimately, this research highlights the public role of Korean new religions in multicultural society and suggests future directions, including migrant-centered evaluations, comparative studies, and the development of multicultural religious education and content.
