This study aims to develop and propose new hair color design trends by hair length using generative AI, focusing on the 2026 Pantone colors, the global standard for color. Methodologically, prompts were structured by extracting core keywords aligned with the design concepts. These prompts were iteratively refined to correct morphological errors and color distortions from the AI, thereby producing highly complete final images. Specifically, the ombre dyeing technique was applied to long hair to create a sophisticated and elegant look. For medium-length hair, the dip-dye technique was utilized to project a sporty and lively vibe. For short hair, the weaving technique was employed to realize a luxurious image by enhancing three-dimensional depth through tonal contrast. The findings of this study are as follows: First, generating hair designs that perfectly align with the intended concept via AI requires the user’s expertise in professional beauty terminology and precise prompt control capabilities. Second, the hair color designs derived from this study harmoniously integrate color, hair cut, and styling, presenting practical and aesthetically appealing trends that satisfy consumer needs in the contemporary beauty market. Third, generative AI serves as a powerful tool capable of intuitively visualizing planning intentions, suggesting its significant potential as a visual communication medium for marketing content planning and customer consultations in the future beauty industry. However, as this study relied on specific Pantone color names, visual discrepancies may exist between the AI-generated colors and the actual results achieved with chemical hair dyes in a salon environment. To narrow this gap, subsequent studies incorporating actual chemical hair dye data are necessary. Furthermore, future research should focus on systematizing generative AI prompts to develop an 'AI-based hair color design and content production guide' that beauty professionals can easily apply in practical settings.

본 연구는 세계적인 색채 표준인 2026년 팬톤 컬러를 중심으로 생성형 AI를 활용하여 헤어 기장별 새로운 헤어 컬러 디자인 트렌드를 기획하고 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법으로는 기획 의도에 맞춘 핵심 키워드를 추출하여 프롬프트를 구성하고, 생성형 AI의 오류 및 컬러 왜곡을 교정하기 위해 프롬프트를 반복적으로 수정하여 완성도 있는 이미지를 생성하였다. 세부적으로 롱 헤어는 옴브레(ombre) 염색 기법을 적용하여 세련되고 우아한 이미지를 구현하고자 하였으며, 미디엄헤어는 딥 다이(dip-dye) 염색 기법을 통해 스포티하고 경쾌한 이미지를 구현하고자 하였다. 숏 헤어는 위빙(weaving) 염색 기법으로 컬러의 명암 차이를 입체적으로 표현하여 고급스러운 이미지를 구현하고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, AI를 활용해 기획 의도에 부합하는 헤어 디자인을 구현하기 위해서는 사용자의 미용 전문 키워드 선택과 프롬프트 제어 능력이 필수적으로 요구된다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 도출된 헤어 컬러 디자인은 컬러, 커트, 스타일링이 입체적으로 조화를 이루는 결과물로서, 현대 미용 시장 소비자의 요구를 충족하는 실용적이고 감각적인 트렌드로 제시할 수 있다. 셋째, 생성형 AI는 기획 의도를 직관적으로 표현할 수 있는 강력한 도구이며, 이는 향후 미용 산업의 마케팅 콘텐츠 기획 및 고객 상담 시 시각적 소통 도구로써 활용 가치가 매우 높다는 것을 시사한다. 다만, 본 연구는 팬톤 컬러를 기준으로 정확한 컬러명을 사용하였기에 실제 모발에서 발색하는 컬러와 생성형 AI가 만들어 내는 헤어 컬러는 시각적 차이가 있을 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 차이를 줄이기 위해 화학적 염모제의 데이터를 활용하는 후속 연구가 요구된다. 또한, 생성형 AI를 활용한 이미지 생성 프롬프트를 체계화하여 미용 현장 실무자들이 쉽게 활용할 수 있는 AI 기반 헤어 컬러 디자인 및 콘텐츠 제작 가이드에 관한 연구가 더욱 활발히 이루어져야 할 것이다.
