This study focuses on the increasing use of street dance programs in local festivals and aims to identify the background of their growth, utilization effects, and future directions based on the experiences and perceptions of street dance professionals. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with eleven experts involved in festival planning, judging, and performance, and the data were analyzed through open, axial, and selective coding. The findings indicate that the growth of street dance in local festivals was driven by increased media exposure and the developmentof community-based professional networks. These factors contributed to regional revitalization, audience expansion, broadening the cultural base of street dance, and the formation of compensation structures However, structural limitations were also identified, including poor performance environments and gaps between festival operation systems and genre-specific expertise, which hinder sustainability. This study demonstrates that street dance functions not merely as performance content but as a participatory cultural resource within local festivals. Furthermore, it highlights the need for stable financial support, collaborative systems with specialized personnel, and long-term operational strategies.

본 연구는 지역축제 내 스트릿댄스 프로그램 활용 증가에 주목하여, 전문가들의 경험과 인식을 중심으로 활성화 배경, 활용 효과, 발전 방향을 도출하였다. 연구는 기획·심사·공연 참여 전문가 11인을 대상으로 반구조화 심층 인터뷰를 실시하고, 개방·축·선택 코딩으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 스트릿댄스 활성화는 미디어 노출 확대와 지역 커뮤니티 기반전문가 집단 성장에 기인하며, 지역 활성화, 관객 확대, 문화 저변 확장 및 보상 구조형성으로 이어졌다. 그러나 열악한 공연 환경, 축제 운영 방식과 장르 전문성 간 괴리는 지속성을 저해하는 구조적 한계로 나타났다. 본 연구는 스트릿댄스가 단순한 공연 콘텐츠를 넘어서 지역축제의 참여형 문화자원으로 기능하고 있음을 보여주며, 안정적 예산지원, 전문 인력 협력 체계, 중장기 운영 전략 마련의 필요성을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.
