This paper examined the aspects of character derivation using AI based on the records of figures included in the “Biographies” of Kim Bu-sik’s *Samguk Sagi*. As a classic, the “Biographies” have a strong character as official history based on factual events, thus ensuring plausibility for the audience. Among the 68 figures included, some have already been characterized and are highly recognizable. After reviewing this, this study utilized Google Gemini AI for the characterization of new figures such as Sadaham and Jo Mi-ap. AI presents various alternatives from limited data, but it is common for it to derive inaccurate information. This is due to the inaccuracies of the materials the AI r eferences. Therefore, the characterization leader must correct the veracity. Since the AI p resents alternatives based on the content requested by the leader, the AI m ust be refined step-by-step through appropriate requests.

이 논문은 김부식의 『삼국사기』 ｢열전｣에 입전된 인물 기록을 바탕으로 AI를 통해 캐릭터를 도출하는 양상에 대해 살펴보았다. 고전인 ｢열전｣ 은 사사실을 바탕으로 기록된 정사의 성격이 강하기 때문에 수요자에게개연성을 확보할 수 있다. 입전된 69인에 대해 이미 캐릭터화되어 인지도가 높은 인물도 있다. 본 연구는 이에 대해 검토한 후 새로운 인물인 사다함과 조미압 등의 캐릭터화에 대해 구글 제미나이 AI를 활용하였다. AI는제한된 자료에서 다양한 대안을 제시하지만 부정확한 내용을 도출하는경도 흔하다. 이는 AI가 참고하는 자료들의 부정확성에 기인한다. 그렇기때문에 캐릭터화 주도자가 진위를 보정해야 한다. AI는 주도자가 요구하는 내용에 따라 대안을 제시하기 때문에 단계적으로 적절한 요구를 통해AI를 정교화해야 한다.
