This study aimed to identify the core competencies required of physical education instructors in early childhood education settings and the key components of their training programs. Using the Nominal Group Technique (NGT), data were collected from a panel of six experts, comprising three physical education instructors, two education specialists, and one early childhood education center director. The results identified essential competencies, including knowledge of child development, instructional competence, program operation and safety management, use of instructional media, ethical practice, communication and interaction, collaboration and networking, and safety management and accident response. Key training components included the development and use of teaching materials, safety management and accident response, interaction strategies, program design and implementation, professional ethics, child development, understanding of and collaboration within early childhood education settings, supervised practicum, teaching and instructional methods, and instruction in fundamental movement skills. The findings provide a foundation for the development of systematic training programs and underscore the need for future research to evaluate their effectiveness in practice.

본 연구의 목적은 유아교육기관 체육지도자의 직무역량과 양성과정의 교육내용을 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구방법으로 명목집단법(NGT)을 활용하였으며, 유아교육기관 체육지도자 3명, 교육학 전문가 2명, 유아교육기관 운영자 1명으로 구성된 전문가 집단의 의견을 수렴하였다. 연구결과, 유아교육기관 체육지도자의 직무역량으로 유아 발달에 대한 이해, 수업시연, 프로그램 운영 및 안전관리, 교수매체 활용, 윤리적 실천, 협력 및 네트워크, 의사소통 및 상호작용, 안전관리 및 사고대응 역량이 도출되었으며, 양성과정의 교육내용으로 교재 교구개발 및 활용, 안전관리 및 사고대응, 유아 상호작용법, 유아체육 프로그램 개발 및 운영, 지도자 윤리, 유아발달, 유아교육 현장의 이해와 협력, 직무실습, 교수학습지도, 기본움직임 기술 지도 내용이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 유아교육기관 체육지도자 양성과정 개발의 기초자료를 제공하였으며, 향후 교육과정의 체계화와 현장 적용 효과 검증 연구의 필요성을 제시하였다.
