This study is a case study conducted with 438 first-year nursing students at K University in Gyeonggi-do, utilizing generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Docs in a digital e-book creation course to enhance digital literacy and creative problem-solving skills. The study aims to examine: first, the impact of the digital e-book creation course using generative AI tools on students' digital literacy; second, the effect on collaborative skills; and third, the students' responses to the course. The findings indicate that students responded positively to the convenience and rapid information provision capabilities of the AI tools, and their collaborative and creative problem-solving skills were effectively enhanced during the digital e-book creation process. However, the necessity for students to independently verify the reliability of AI-provided information was also emphasized. Survey results revealed that students believed AI technology aids in improving learning efficiency and achievement. The study suggests the potential for educational application of generative AI tools and highlights the importance of digital literacy education. However, the study is limited by its focus on a specific department and the difficulty in assessing long-term learning effects. Future research should involve longitudinal studies across various departments and academic years, and develop educational programs that foster ethical use of AI technology and information verification skills.

본 연구는 경기도 K 대학교 간호학과 1학년 학생 438명을 대상으로, ChatGPT와 Google Docs와 같은 생성형 AI 도구를 활용한 디지털 e-book 제작 수업을 통해 디지털 리터러시와 창의적 문제 해결 능력을 향상시키고자 진행된 학습 사례 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 첫째, 생성형 AI 도구를 활용한 디지털 e-book 제작 수업이 학생들의 디지털 리터러시에 미치는 영향, 둘째, 협업 능력 향상에 미치는 영향, 셋째, 학생들의 수업에 대한 반응이다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 AI 도구의 편리함과 신속한 정보 제공 능력에 긍정적인 반응을 보였으며, 디지털 e-book 제작 과정에서 협업과 창의적 문제 해결 능력이 효과적으로 향상되었다. 그러나 AI가 제공하는 정보의 신뢰성을 직접 검증해야 하는 필요성도 강조되었다. 설문조사에 따르면, 학생들은 AI 기술이 학습 효율성과 성취도 향상에 도움이 된다고 평가하였다. 연구는 생성형 AI 도구의 교육적 활용 가능성을 시사하며, 디지털 리터러시 교육의 중요성을 강조한다. 다만, 연구대상이 특정 학과로 한정되고, 장기적인 학습 효과를 평가하기 어려웠다는 한계가 있다. 후속 연구에서는 다양한 학과와 학년을 대상으로 한 장기적 연구와 AI 기술의 윤리적 사용 및 정보 검증 능력을 기르는 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.
