This study aims to derive evaluation elements and explore their structural characteristics by analyzing expert narrative evaluation statements from the general division finals of the Dong-A Dance Competition. Inductive content analysis was applied to evaluation statements from four experts based on performance videos of 28 finalists in contemporary dance (2022–2023), yielding 202 meaning units and eight evaluation elements: body use, technical execution, movement connectivity, spatial utilization, musicality, energy dynamics, expressiveness, and creativity/ choreographic composition. These elements were grouped into three domains—technical, artistic expression, and choreographic composition—and showed interactive and integrative characteristics. Notably, energy dynamics and creativity/choreographic composition emerged as previously underexplored elements, suggesting their significance as evaluative standards. This study provides empirical evidence based on actual evaluative language and offers foundational data for developing contemporary dance evaluation rubrics.

이 연구는 현대무용 경연에 대한 전문가의 서술형 평가 진술을 분석하여 평가 요소를 도출하고 그 구조적 특성을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2022년과 2023년 동아무용콩쿠르 현대무용 일반부 본선 진출자 28명의 공연 영상을 대상으로 전문가 4인의 평가 진술에 귀납적 내용분석을 적용하였다. 분석 결과 신체사용, 기술적 수행, 움직임 연결, 공간 활용, 음악성, 에너지 역동성, 표현성, 창의성/안무구성의 요소가 도출되었으며, 이들은 요소는 기술적, 예술적 표현, 안무 구성 영역으로 구분되었다. 에너지 역동성과 창의성/안무구성 요소는 기존 연구에서 다루어지지 않아 중요한 요소로 작용할 가능성을 시사한다. 본 연구는 실제 평가 언어를 기반으로 평가 요소를 도출하였다는 점에서 의의를 가지며, 향후 현대무용 평가 루브릭 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공한다.
