This study examines the current state of records management practices for the 2024 Humanities on the Road program through the lens of Records Continuum theory, investigating strategies to ensure that records generated during the implementation of public library programs are managed from inception in a continuous, multidimensional manner. Business processes were identified through a literature review and subsequently categorized into the dimensions of creation, capture, organization, and pluralization, utilizing content analysis of interview data from relevant personnel. The findings revealed inconsistencies in record-keeping standards across various record creators and omissions of required records. Moreover, integrated management is hampered by a decentralized acquisition structure centered on external library systems. Furthermore, variations in classification standards among libraries have led to inadequate contextualization and organization of records, resulting in limited utilization. In response, this study proposes several improvement measures: developing a preliminary inventory of record types by record creator, establishing an integrated records management system utilizing electronic records, implementing a multi-tiered classification system, and developing community-based participatory archives.

본 연구는 2024년 길 위의 인문학 프로그램의 기록관리 실태를 레코드 컨티뉴엄 이론에 기반하여 분석하고, 공공도서관 프로그램 수행 과정에서 기록이 생산 초기부터 연속적⋅다원적 맥락 속에서 관리될 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 문헌조사를 통해 업무 프로세스를 도출하고, 담당자 면담 자료를 내용분석하여 생산⋅획득⋅조직화⋅다원화 차원으로 범주화하였다. 분석 결과, 다양한 생산 주체 간 기록 생산 기준의 비일관성과 필수 생산 기록의 누락 문제가 확인되었으며, 도서관 외부 시스템 중심의 분산된 획득 구조로 인해 통합적 관리가 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 또한 도서관별 분류 기준의 차이로 기록의 맥락화와 구조화가 미흡하고, 활용 역시 제한적인 수준에 머무는 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 본 연구는 생산 주체별 기록 유형의 사전 목록화, 전자기록 기반의 통합 기록관리체계 구축, 다층적 분류체계 설계, 지역사회 참여 기반 아카이브 조성을 개선 방안으로 제시하였다.
