Conceptual art in the 1960s sparked a fundamental aesthetic shift by prioritizing ideas over physical objects. This study examines the theoretical transition of "dematerialization" into a strategic apparatus of culture technology (CT) within the contemporary network society. By integrating perspectives from media studies, STS, and anthropology, this study comparatively analyzes the trajectory of global conceptual practices toward modern technology-based art. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that conceptual art functions as an active operational system that organizes social subjectivity, extending beyond its traditional autonomous realm. In this framework, art is perceived as a plastic apparatus that intervenes in and reshapes broader social systems. This analysis clarifies the socio-technical role of art in reconstructing the conditions of production and reception. Consequently, we redefine the legacy of conceptual art as a foundational element of today's systems aesthetics, confirming that contemporary art discourse is expanding into the vital realm of human-technology interaction.

1960년대 전개된 개념미술은 예술의 물리적 대상을 해체하고 아이디어와 프로세스를 중심에 둠으로써 근대적 미학 체계의 근본적인 전환을 가져왔다. 본 연구는 이러한 개념미술의 "탈물질화" 경향이 단순히 물질의 소멸에 그치는 것이 아니라, 현대 네트워크 사회의 핵심 동력인 문화기술(CT)적 장치로 전회하는 역사적 및 이론적 과정을 심도있게 분석한다. 이를 위해 미디어학의 매체 이론, 과학기술학(STS)의 행위자 연결망 이론, 그리고 인류학적 참여 관찰의 시선을 결합한 학제적 관점을 견지하며, 영미권을 넘어선 글로벌 개념미술의 실천 사례가 현대의 데이터 기반 예술로 이행되는 궤적을 분석하였다. 본 연구는 개념미술을 단순한 예술 양식이 아닌 사회적 주체성을 조직하고 조정하는 능동적 작동 체계로 재정의한다. 이러한 과정 속에서 예술은 과거의 고립된 자율적 영역을 탈피하여, 사회 시스템 전반에 개입하고 영향을 미치는 가소적 장치로서 기능하고 있음을 논리적으로 입증한다. 결론적으로 우리는 본 연구를 통해 개념미술의 유산이 어떻게 기술 사회의 시스템 미학으로 계승되는지를 고찰함으로써, 동시대 예술 담론의 지평이 기술과 인간의 상호작용 영역으로 확장될 수 있음을 확인한다.
