- This study expands wellness tourism research by exploring its applicability in metropolitan contexts through a case study of Bucheon City. An integrated framework combining medical, cultural, and smart wellness was developed by reviewing distinctions between medical and wellness tourism and synthesizing prior studies on wellness attributes and place-based factors. Comparative analysis of policy cases from Jeju, Jeonbuk, Suncheon, Seoul, Singapore, and Thailand informed the formulation of three major strategies and ten sub-strategies reflecting Bucheon's accessibility and infrastructure. An AHP survey of 40 experts ranked medical wellness as the highest priority, followed by smart and cultural wellness. Key sub-strategies included treatment-centered medical wellness, emotional-recovery cultural programs, and data-integration smart wellness. Effectiveness emerged as the most important evaluation criterion. The study presents integrated urban wellness strategies that offer practical policy and managerial guidance for fostering sustainable wellness tourism in mid-sized cities.Wellness Tourism, Urban Wellness, Medical Wellness, Cultural Wellness, Smart Wellness

- 본 연구는 자연 자원이 풍부한 지방 중심의 기존 웰니스 관광 연구를 넘어, 수도권 도심형 웰니스 관광 전략의 가능성을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부천시를 사례 도시로 선정하여 의료·문화·기술을 융합한 웰니스 관광 전략을 도출하고 그 우선순위를 분석하였다. 먼저 헬스 투어리즘의 하위 영역인 의료관광과 웰니스 관광의 이론적 구분을 정리하고, 웰니스 선택속성 및 장소성에 관한 선행연구를 검토하였다. 이어 국내 사례와 해외 정책 및 클러스터·조례 사례를 비교·분석함으로써 차별화된 전략 도출의 기반을 마련하였다. 이러한 검토를 토대로 부천시의 지리적 입지와 의료·문화·기술 인프라를 반영한 신체적·정서적·지적 웰니스 중심의 3대 전략(의료 웰니스, 문화 웰니스, 기술 웰니스)과 10개의 세부 전략을 제시하였다. 이후 부천시 및 관련 전문가 40명을 대상으로 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) 분석을 실시하였다. 3대 전략 중 의료 웰니스가 가장 중요한 전략으로 나타났으며, 기술 웰니스, 문화 웰니스가 그 뒤를 이었다. 세부 전략에서는 치료형 의료 웰니스, 개인감정 회복형 문화 웰니스, 데이터 통합 플랫폼형 기술 웰니스가 각각 최우선 과제로 도출되었다. 본 연구는 중규모 도심인 부천시를 대상으로 의료·문화·기술을 융합한 도심형 웰니스 관광 전략과 그 우선순위를 제시함으로써, 도시 환경에서도 지속 가능한 웰니스 관광 생태계 구축 가능성을 제안하고 정책적·실무적 시사점을 제공한다.
