This study analyzed research trends in reading and literacy programs for multicultural young children published between 2010 and 2025, with the aim of identifying key characteristics and directions for future research. Seven studies were selected from Korean academic journals and theses that focused on improving the reading and literacy skills of multicultural preschoolers. Six analytic criteria were applied: publication year, research type, participants, program characteristics, literacy components, and effectiveness. The findings showed that early studies in the 2010s mainly focused on picture book reading for basic language development, while recent studies expanded to family literacy, academic vocabulary, phonological awareness, and interactive digital reading programs. Most programs lasted 8-10 weeks and demonstrated positive effects on receptive and expressive language, vocabulary, reading fluency, and oral language development. These results highlight the need for continued development of family-linked, participatory, and media-integrated reading programs to effectively support the literacy growth of multicultural young children.

본 연구는 2010년부터 2025년까지 발표된 다문화가정 유아 대상 읽기 및 문해 관련 프로그램 연구의 동향을 분석하고 향후 연구 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 국내 학위논문과 학술지 논문 중 다문화유아의 읽기능력 향상을 목적으로 한 7편의 연구를 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석 기준은 연구 연도, 연구 유형, 연구 대상, 프로그램 특성, 읽기 및 문해 구성요소, 효과성 등 여섯 항목으로 설정하였다. 분석 결과, 2010년대 초반에는 그림책 읽기 중심의 언어기초 발달 연구가 주를 이루었으며, 이후 가족문해, 학습 도구어, 음운인식, 인터랙티브 그림책 등 다양한 형태로 발전하였다. 프로그램은 대체로 8~10주간 진행되었으며, 모든 연구에서 수용·표현언어, 어휘력, 읽기유창성, 구어발달 등에서 긍정적 효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 다문화유아의 언어·문해 능력 향상을 위해 가정-기관 연계형, 참여형, 매체융합형 프로그램의 개발과 지속적 연구가 필요함을 시사한다.
