This study empirically examined the correlation between agricultural spraying drone operators' safety accident awareness and their actual safety compliance amid rising risks such as crashes, fires, and injuries caused by the rapid spread of smart agriculture. A structured questionnaire was distributed to 126 drone operators in Province J using convenience sampling. The tool included 19 items on safety awareness-covering preventive activities, equipment and operational environment, and safety measures-and 7 items on safety compliance. Data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 through frequency analysis, t-tests, Mann-Whitney U tests, one-way ANOVA, and correlation analysis. Results showed significant differences in both safety awareness and compliance according to age, flight experience, monthly flight frequency, and work area. Older and more experienced operators, and those flying more frequently or in larger areas, exhibited higher safety levels. All sub-factors of safety awareness correlated positively with compliance, with preventive activities showing the strongest link (r = .944). The findings highlight that internalizing preventive safety awareness-such as pre-flight inspection and hazard prediction-is crucial for improving compliance. It is recommended to develop customized practical training based on age and experience and to prepare nursing and public-health-linked emergency response manuals suitable for rural areas.

본 연구는 스마트 농업 확산으로 방제 드론 사용이 급증함에 따라 발생하는 추락, 화재, 인체 손상 등 복합적 안전 위험에 대응하기 위해 드론 조종자의 안전사고 인식과 안전이행 간의 상관관계를 실증적으로 규명하였다. J도 지역의 방제 드론 조종자 126명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문을 실시하였으며, 안전사고 인식은 예방활동·장비 및 운용환경·안전대책의 3개 요인 19문항, 안전이행은 7문항으로 구성하였다. SPSS 27.0을 이용해 빈도분석, t-검정, Mann-Whitney U 검정, 일원분산분석, 상관분석을 수행한 결과, 연령, 경력, 월평균 운용 횟수, 작업면적에 따라 안전인식과 안전이행 수준에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 특히 연령과 경력이 많고 운용 빈도와 면적이 큰 집단일수록 안전수준이 높았으며, 예방활동 요인이 안전이행과 가장 높은 상관(r=.946)을 보였다. 따라서 드론 조종자의 안전이행 강화를 위해서는 비행 전 점검과 위험 예지 등 예방 중심의 안전 인식 내재화가 핵심임을 확인하였다. 이에 따라 경력과 연령을 고려한 맞춤형 교육 강화와 농촌 지역 특성을 반영한 간호·보건 연계 응급대응 체계 구축이 필요함을 제언한다.
