The rapid diffusion of generative AI highlights the need to understand how users' perceptions convert into paid subscription behavior. Existing studies have mainly focused on isolated acceptance factors or free-use contexts, leaving a gap in explaining the integrated cognitive process behind monetary adoption. Using data from the 2024 Intelligent Information Society Panel Survey, this study examines the structural relationships among perceived risk (PR), perceived efficiency gains (PEG), and expected life improvement (ELI), and tests the moderating role of ELI in predicting paid subscription behavior (PSB). The PLS-SEM results show that PR increases PEG but decreases PSB, while PEG positively predicts PSB and mediates the PR-PSB link. ELI further mitigates the negative effect of PR on PSB. The findings provide an integrated perspective on how risk, efficiency, and expectancy interact in shaping users' paid adoption of generative AI services, offering theoretical and practical implications.

최근 생성형 AI의 대중적 확산으로 인해 사용자의 위험 인식, 효율성 체감, 기대효과가 실제 유료구독으로 전환되는 과정에 대한 이해가 중요해지고 있다. 그럼에도 기존 연구는 기술 수용 요인을 개별적으로 다루거나 무료 사용 중심의 분석에 머물러, 유료구독 행동을 설명하는 통합적 관점이 부족하다는 한계가 있었다. 본 연구는 「2024년 지능정보사회 이용자 패널조사」 자료를 활용하여 위험 인식(PR), 효율성 체감(PEG), 생활개선 기대(ELI) 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 특히 ELI의 조절효과를 검증함으로써 생성형 AI 유료구독 행동(PSB)의 결정요인을 규명하였다. 분석 결과, 위험 인식은 효율성 체감에 정(+)의 영향을, 유료구독 행동에는 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 효율성 체감은 유료구독 행동을 유의하게 강화하였으며, 위험 인식과 유료구독 행동 간 관계를 매개하였다. 또한 생활개선 기대는 위험 인식의 부정적 영향을 완화하는 조절요인으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 위험-효율-기대가 상호작용하는 통합적 인지 구조를 제시함으로써 생성형 AI 구독전환 메커니즘을 설명하는 데 학술적 시사점을 제공한다.
