This study views marital conflict not as a simple communication failure but as a relational structure formed through repetitive interactions. The purpose is to propose a foundational framework for a conflict-resolution program that couples can apply in daily life, grounded in trust and cooperation. Social exchange, game theory, Rapoport's cooperative game theory, and Gottman's couple therapy were reviewed and the Gottman-Rapoport blueprint was adopted as the theoretical basis. While the blueprint offers practical value in promoting autonomous engagement between partners, it shows limitations in sustaining practice in everyday settings. To address this, the study introduces a Conversational Agent (CA) as a catalyst, and relational principles from couple and marital therapy were applied to construct a structure that enables everyday practice without temporal or spatial constraints. This study presents a CA-supported approach that helps couples regulate conflict autonomously and integrates couple therapeutic and social-scientific principles into digital intervention design. The finding offer foundational resources for CA development in couple-relationship improvement and provide a design-oriented contribution for advancing AI-based couple interventions.

본 연구는 부부갈등을 단순한 의사소통의 실패가 아닌 반복적 상호작용 속에서 형성되는 관계적 구조로 이해하는 데서 출발하였다. 연구의 목적은 신뢰와 협력을 중점으로 부부가 일상에서도 활용할 수 있는 갈등 완화 프로그램의 기초 틀을 제안하는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 사회교환이론, 게임이론, Rapoport의 협력 관점에서의 게임이론, Gottman의 부부치료이론을 검토하였으며, 프로그램의 이론적 기반은 Gottman-Rapoport 청사진을 삼았다. 청사진은 부부가 자율적으로 활용할 수 있다는 실천적인 강점을 지니지만 일상에서 지속하기에 한계가 있음을 발견하였다. 이를 보완하기 위해 본 연구는 대화형 AI Agent(Conversational Agent, CA)를 촉매제로 활용하고 커플 및 부부치료의 관계적 관점을 적용하여 부부가 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 일상에서 훈련할 수 있는 프로그램을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 CA를 활용하여 부부가 자율적으로 갈등을 조율할 수 있도록 지원하며, 사회과학과 부부치료이론을 CA 개입 설계에 적용하는 새로운 접근을 제시한다. 이러한 시도는 부부관계 개선을 목적으로 한 CA 개발에 있어 기초적 자료를 제공하며, AI기반 부부 개입의 확장을 위한 설계적 기여를 제공한다.
