This study examines how the shocking memory of the Korean War was realized and expressed through poets from the perspective of memory neuroethics. From a neuroethics point of view, past empirical memory acts as a factor that determines not only personal identity but also future emotions and actions. As a research methodology for this paper, Neil Levy's memory theory, which studied human consciousness and behavior based on neurological knowledge, was borrowed. In neuroethics, 'memory' is a withdrawal clue that causes experienced events and recollections, and since it is not indexed as a certain consciousness or behavior, the study was conducted on Jeon Bong-gun City who directly participated in the Korean War. There are three aspects of neuroethics of memory that appeared in Jeon Feudal City. The first is that the obsessive compulsion caused by the solidification of war memories is expressed in poetry. In poetry, it is expressed in poetry such as "darkness", "blood", and "death", which is a matter of neuroethics contextualized in poetry as war memories that were latent in Jeon Feudal's unconsciousness or whole consciousness are continuously forcibly withdrawn. Second, the psychology to avoid war memories is formalized as poetic fantasy. In poetry, fantasy is expressed in the image of humans, saviors, and women who regenerate reality, and this is a neuroethics problem in which the psychology of denying historical memories is expressed in the form of memory distortion. Third, the self-awareness problem caused by the state of self-deprecation appeared as an ego that lost free will. In poetry, this ego appears as a non-subjective consciousness, such as masochism that self-sacrifice or mechanization that denies human propositions, which is a neuroethics problem that projects guilt or moral condemnation of humans or themselves. These points show that the memories of the Korean War in the past caused nerve ethics problems in Jeon Bong-gun, and it influenced the creation of unique poetic characteristics of Jeon Bong-gun. The neuroethics problem expressed in poetry is the physical and mental representation of Jeon Bong-gun who suffered from war memories. It also has the meaning of a verbalized social common memory in that poetry is a medium that is socialized by the poet's memory and forms a consensus.

이 연구는 6·25전쟁이라는 충격적 기억이 시인의 시를 통해 어떻게 의식화되었는지를 기억의 신경윤리학 관점에서 살펴본 것이다. 신경윤리학 관점에서 과거의 경험적 기억은 개인 정체성은 물론 미래의 감정이나 행동을 결정하는 요소로 작용한다. 본고를 위한 연구 방법론으로는 신경학적 지식을 기반으로 인간의 의식과 행동을 연구한 닐 레비의 기억 이론을 차용하였다. 신경윤리학에서 경험적 ‘기억’은 일정한 의식이나 행동으로 지표화되지 않는다는 점에서 6·25전쟁에 직접 참전한 전봉건 시인 한 사람을 연구 대상으로 하였다. 전봉건 시에 나타난 기억의 신경윤리 양상은 다음 세 가지이다. 첫째는 전쟁 기억의 응고화로 인한 강박증이 시어로 표출된 것이다. 시에서 “어둠” “피” “죽음” 등 시어로 표출되는데 이것은 전봉건의 무의식이나 전의식에 잠재되어 있던 전쟁 기억이 지속적으로 강제 인출되면서 시로 맥락화된 신경윤리 문제이다. 둘째, 전쟁 기억을 회피하려는 심리가 시적 환상성으로 형식화된 것이다. 시에서 환상성은 인간과 현실을 재생시키는 구원자, 여성 이미지로 표출되는데 이것은 역사적 기억을 부정하는 심리가 기억의 왜곡 형태로 표출된 신경윤리 문제이다. 셋째, 자아고갈 상태로 인한 자기인식 문제가 자유의지를 상실한 자아로 나타난 것이다. 시에서 이런 자아는 스스로를 자학하는 마조히즘이나 인간적 명제를 부정하는 사물화나 기계화 등 비주체적 의식으로 나타난다. 이것은 생명을 파괴하는 인간에 대한 죄의식과 도덕적 비난이 신경윤리 문제로 전환된 것이다. 이러한 점들은 과거 6·25전쟁 기억이 전봉건에게 신경윤리 문제를 유발했고, 그것이 전봉건만의 개성적인 시적 특징을 만드는 데 영향을 주었음을 보여준다. 시로 표출된 신경윤리 문제는 전쟁 기억으로 인해서 고통받은 전봉건의 신체적 정신적 표상이지만 시라는 것이 시인의 기억에 의해 사회화되고 공감대를 형성하는 매개체라는 점에서 언어화된 사회적 공통 기억이라는 의미를 가진다.
