This study aimed to explore the effects of simultaneous learning of K-pop cover dance and vocal performance on stage immersion and emotional expressivity. In recent K-pop training environments, traditional methods that separate vocal and dance instruction have been criticized for their limitations in enhancing performers’ integrated expressive abilities. Accordingly, this study sought to examine how integrated training (combining musical expression and physical movement) affects learners’ psychological immersion and emotional expressiveness. The study was conducted with adolescents and university students interested in K-pop cover dance and vocal performance. Participants were randomly assigned to three groups: a simultaneous learning group, a separate learning group, and a control group. The experiment was designed so that all participants practiced the same song and choreography for a set period, and changes in stage immersion and emotional expressivity before and after training were analyzed. Stage immersion was measured based on flow theory, and emotional expressivity was evaluated using a modified scale derived from emotional expression framework. The results indicated that the simultaneous learning group showed greater improvement in both stage immersion and emotional expressivity than the separate or single-learning groups. Integrated training was found to have a positive effect on enhancing learners’ concentration, self-control, and authenticity in emotional delivery. These findings suggest that when vocal and dance are learned in an integrated manner, musical emotion and bodily expression interact to amplify the performer’s psychological flow experience. This study holds theoretical significance in that it applies flow theory and emotional expression theory to the K-pop training context, thereby empirically confirming the mechanism of psychological and emotional integration in artistic performance. Furthermore, it provides practical implications by emphasizing the need for K-pop education institutions and arts training programs to adopt integrated instruction models that combine singing and dancing, thereby enhancing learners’ stage presence and authentic emotional expression.

본 연구는 K-pop 커버댄스와 보컬의 동시학습이 무대 몰입감과 감정 표현력에 미치는 효과를 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 최근 K-pop 트레이닝 환경에서는 보컬과 댄스를 분리하여 교육하는 전통적 방식이 퍼포머의 통합적 표현 능력 향상에 한계를 보인다는 점이 지적되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 음악적 표현과 신체적 움직임을 동시에 학습하는 통합적 훈련이 학습자의 심리적 몰입과 감정적 표현에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구는 K-pop 커버댄스와 보컬에 관심을 가진 청소년 및 대학생을 대상으로 실시되었으며, 참가자들은 무작위로 동시학습집단, 분리학습집단, 대조군으로 구분되었다. 실험은 동일한 곡과 안무를 일정 기간 동안 학습하도록 설계되었으며, 학습 전후의 무대 몰입감과 감정 표현력의 변화를 비교·분석하였다. 무대 몰입감은 몰입이론을 바탕으로, 감정 표현력은 감정 표현 이론을 기반으로 구성된 측정 도구를 사용하였다. 분석 결과, K-pop 커버댄스와 보컬을 동시에 학습한 집단은 분리학습 또는 단일 학습을 수행한 집단보다 무대 몰입감과 감정 표현력에서 모두 더 높은 향상을 보였다. 특히 통합적 학습은 학습자의 집중력, 자기통제감, 감정 전달의 진정성을 강화하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 보컬과 댄스를 통합적으로 학습할 때, 음악적 감정과 신체적 표현이 상호작용하며 심리적 몰입 경험을 증폭시킨다는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구는 몰입이론과 감정 표현 이론을 K-pop 트레이닝 맥락에 적용하여, 예술 수행에서의 심리적·정서적 통합 경험의 메커니즘을 실증적으로 확인했다는 점에서 이론적 의의를 가진다. 또한 K-pop 교육기관 및 예술교육 현장에서 보컬과 댄스를 분리하지 않고 통합적으로 지도하는 교육 프로그램의 필요성을 제기함으로써, 학습자의 무대 존재감과 감정 표현의 진정성을 강화할 수 있는 실질적 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 실무적 의의를 가진다.
