This paper examines literary texts created by AI large language models from the theoretical perspectives of literature and linguistics. The theoretical basis for this paper is (post)structuralist linguistics and narratology, which explore the universal structure of literary language, as well as Freudian depth psychology, which utilizes these to explore universal human mental phenomena. In other words, this paper explores how and to what extent AI language models can, in principle, approach creative language—which expresses humans’ vivid and intimate sensibility toward life and the world—and critical language—which deeply analyzes and highly abstracts these senses. Ultimately, from the perspectives of (post)structuralist linguistics, narratology, and depth psychology, this paper will provide insight into the phase in which the language of AI language models can operate without a fixed distinction between metaphor and metonymy, and the significance thereof. This is achieved by intimately examining the mechanism that forces metonymy to be mediated through metaphor, thereby deconstructing the (post)structuralist binary opposition between metaphor and metonymy. From the perspective of Freudian and Lacanian depth psychology, which analyzes human mental phenomena through signifier structures, this is a process of revealing that this model is a technical model capable of seamlessly translating creative language, which embodies subjective sensibility, into critical language, which embodies objective reason. In other words, this paper will ultimately provide insight into the fundamental reason why AI’s critical language can sufficiently approach human critical language—which conceptualizes creative language—by highly abstracting it. Therefore, in the main body, the paper first utilizes the perspective of a structuralist language model that views the creation of AI as a mechanism that rigidly substitutes metonymy with metaphor. This enables us to capture the isomorphism between human creation and AI creation, both of which construct text by signifying the world without being bound by transcendental signifieds. Furthermore, the paper adopts a post-structuralist perspective, which understands AI language models as operating through the antagonism between metaphor and metonymic residues. Through this, it becomes evident that AI-generated texts function as a technical model of post-structuralist language that embodies human affect. Finally, the paper demonstrates that the critical language of AI language models can serve as a technical model of a depth psychological language that seeks to realize the transitional zone where metaphor and metonymy intersect. Ultimately, this constitutes a contemporary reconstruction of post-discourse that provides insight into the text generation mechanisms of AI large language models.

이 논문은 AI 거대언어모델이 창작하는 문학 텍스트를 문학과 언어학의 이론적인 관점에서 고찰한다. 논문의 이론적 전거는 문학 언어의 보편 구조를 탐색한 (포스트) 구조주의 언어학과 서사학, 그리고 이를 활용해서 인간의 보편적인 정신현상을 탐색할 수 있는 프로이트 계통의 심층심리 학이다. 즉 논문은 AI 언어모델이 인간이 삶과 세계를 향한 핍진하고 내밀 한 감각을 표현하는 창작 언어, 이 감각을 심도 있게 분석하고 고도로 추 상하는 비평 언어에 원리적으로 얼마큼, 어떻게 육박할 수 있는지를 탐색 한다. 논문은 결국 (포스트) 구조주의 언어학과 서사학과 심층심리학의 관점 에서 AI 언어모델의 언어가 은유와 환유를 무차별하게 구현할 수 있는 국 면과 그 의의를 통찰할 것이다. 이 언어모델이 환유를 은유로 치환해서 다루게 하는 은유와 환유의 (포스트) 구조주의적 이항 대립을 해체하는 기 제를 내밀하게 들여다봄으로써다. 이는 인간의 정신 현상을 기표구조로 분석하는 프로이트와 라캉 계열 심층심리학의 관점에서 이 모델이 주관적 감성을 구현하는 창작 언어를 객관적 이성을 구현하는 비평 언어로 매 끄럽게 전화시킬 수 있는 공학적인 모델임을 밝히는 과정이다. 즉 이 논 문은 결국 AI의 비평 언어가 창작 언어를 고도로 추상함으로써 개념화하 는 인간의 비평 언어에 충분히 육박할 수 있는 원리적인 이유를 통찰할 것이다. 그러므로, 본론에서는 먼저 환유를 은유로 완고하게 치환하는 기제로 AI 언어모델의 창작을 바라볼 수 있는 구조주의적 언어모델의 관점을 활 용할 것이다. 이는 초월적 기의에 얽매이지 않고 세계를 기표화함으로 텍 스트를 만들 수 있는 인간 창작과 AI 창작의 동형성을 포착하게 할 것이 다. 그리고 은유와 환유적 잔여를 길항시키는 기제로 AI 언어모델의 창작 을 바라볼 수 있는 포스트 구조주의적 언어모델의 관점을 활용할 것이다. 이를 통해 AI 언어모델의 창작이 인간의 정동을 구현하는 포스트 구조주 의적 언어의 공학적인 모델임이 뚜렷이 드러날 것이다. 마지막으로 AI 언 어모델의 비평 언어가 은유와 환유의 점이지대를 구현하려는 심층심리학 적 언어모델의 공학적인 모델이 될 수 있음을 밝힐 것이다. 이는 결국 AI 거대언어모델의 텍스트 생성 기제를 통찰할 수 있는 포스트 담론의 동시대적 재구축을 수행하는 과정이다.
