This study examines the editions, content, and dating of the Sohakseodo (小學 書圖) currently held in Korean libraries. Based on an analysis of previous research and the extant editions in Korean libraries, this study confirmed two key points. First, the Sohakseodo consists of 51 illustrations, ranging from the 〈Jeja-sueopdo (弟子受業圖)〉 to the 〈Geumbanhyeopsahwiijido (衿鞶篋笥楎椸之圖)〉. Second, it was compiled after the completion of Zhu Xi's Sohak (小學) to serve as a study aid for the text. Furthermore, this study confirmed that the Sohakseodo is a compilation that excludes the 〈Sohakbonjido (小學本旨圖)〉 from the Gasan-doseo (家山圖書) but adds the 〈Sinju-jeonsik (神主全式)〉. It was also identified as a format that incorporates the contents of the Mungong-seonsaeng-sohak-myeongseol-pyeollam (文公先生小學明說便覽), supplemented with the 〈Sinju-jeonsik〉. A comparative analysis was conducted on the 〈Sinju-jeonsik〉 diagram as it appears in several texts: the Sohakseodo, the Geoga-pilyong (居家必用), the Ijeong-jip (二程集), the Garye (家禮) by JuBok-bon (周復本), and the Garye edition found in the Seongni-daejeon (性理大全). This comparison leads to the conclusion that He Shi-xin (何士信) was not the original author of the Sohakseodo. Rather, two possibilities emerge: (1) He Shi-xin completed the Sohakseodo after 1300 by adding his own drawing of the 〈Sinju-jeonsik〉 to a base text (like the Mungong-seonsaeng-sohak-myeongseol-pyeollam or Gasan-doseo) that already existed around 1281; or (2) He Shi-xin simply inserted a pre-existing version of the Sohakseodo, which already contained the 〈Sinju-jeonsik〉, when he was compiling the Sohak-jipseong (小學集成). Furthermore, the Sohakseodo editions held in Korean libraries exist as independent volumes. These include twelve types of Yeongju (瀛洲) editions, the Sohak-jiseo (小學之書) edition at the Seoul National University Kyujanggak, and a Chinese edition at the Jangseogak. This specific Chinese edition is noteworthy as it is a version not found in China or Japan, and its illustrations are identical to those included in the 1249 edition of the Sohak-jipseong. The Sohak-jipseong itself contains several editions of the Sohakseodo, including those dated 1249, 1569, and 1744, as well as a Japanese edition from 1658. This study confirmed that, unlike the Korean editions, this Japanese edition features slight modifications.

이 글은 현재 한국 내 도서관에 소장되어 있는 『소학서도(小學書圖)』의 판본과 그 내용, 저작시기 등에 대해 살폈다. 그간의 연구 성과와 현재 국내 도서관에 소장된 판본 등을 중심으로 살펴본 결과, 『소학서도』는 〈제자수업도(弟子受業圖)〉에서 〈금반협사휘이지도(衿鞶篋笥 楎椸之圖)〉에 이르기까지 총 51개의 그림으로 구성되어 있고, 주자의 『소학』이 완성된 이후 『소학』을 공부하는 데 도움을 주기 위해 작성된 것이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 『소학서도』는 『가산도서(家山圖書)의 내용에서 〈소학본지도(小學本旨圖)〉를 빼고 〈신주전식(神 主全式)〉을 포함하였고, 『문공선생소학명설편람(文公先生小學明說便覽)』의 내용에 〈신주전식〉을 포함한 형태라는 것을 확인하였다. 또 『소학서도』에 실린 〈신주전식〉과 『거가필용(居家 必用)』에 실린 〈신주전식〉, 『이정집(二程集)』에 실린 〈신주전식〉, 주복본(周復本) 『가례(家 禮)』에 실린 〈신주전식〉, 『성리대전(性理大全)』본 『가례』에 실린 〈신주전식〉의 비교를 통하여, 『소학서도』의 저자는 하사신(何士信)이 아니며, 1281년 즈음에 이미 있던 『문공선생소학명설편람』이나 『가산도서』 등을 바탕으로 하여, 1300년 이후에 〈신주전식〉을 하사신이 그려서 『소학서도』를 완성하였거나, 아니면 이미 있던 〈신주전식〉이 포함된 『소학서도』를 하사신이 『소학집성』을 편집하면서 넣었을 수도 있다는 결론에 이르렀다. 또 국내도서관 소장 『소학서도』판본은 단일본으로, 영주(瀛洲)판본 12종과 서울대 규장각의 『소학지서(小學之書)』판본, 장서각 소장 중국판본이 있었고, 특히 중국본은 중국과 일본에서도 확인되지 않는 중국본이며, 『소학집성』 1249년판본에 수록된 것과 그림이 동일하다. 『소학집성』본에 포함된 판본으로, 1249년본과 1569년본, 1744년본, 그리고 일본판본인 1658본이 있는데, 앞의 국내본과는 달리 일본판본은 약간의 수정이 가해졌다는 것을 확인하였다.
