This study investigated the effects of the seven requirements of the IATF 16949 quality management system on business performance in small and medium-sized automotive parts manufacturers. Using 330 valid survey responses collected from automotive parts SMEs located in the Seongseo Industrial Complex in Daegu, the study conducted reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS. The results showed that organizational context, leadership, and operations had significant effects on both financial and non-financial performance, while performance evaluation had a significant effect only on non-financial performance. In contrast, planning, support, and improvement were not statistically significant. These findings suggest that implementation-oriented requirements are more directly linked to performance in SMEs, whereas planning, support, and improvement may not be easily translated into performance outcomes because of limited resources, manpower constraints, and the operational realities in smaller firms. Accordingly, automotive parts SMEs should prioritize leadership, organizational context, and operations as key management areas and gradually enhance the effectiveness of quality management system implementation. The findings imply that SMEs need to establish clear priorities in operating quality management systems by allocating scarce resources first to those requirements most closely associated with tangible performance improvement.

본 연구는 자동차부품 중소기업을 대상으로 IATF16949 품질경영시스템의 7개 요구사항이 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 대구 성서공단 소재 자동차부품 중소기업의 설문자료 330부를 대상으로 SPSS를 활 용해 신뢰도 분석, 요인분석, 상관관계 분석, 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 조직상황·리더십·운용은 재무 적·비재무적 성과에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 성과평가는 비재무적 성과에만 유의하였다. 반면 기획·지원·개선은 유의하지 않았다. 이는 중소기업에서 실행 중심 요구사항이 성과와 직접적으로 연결되는 반면, 기획·지원·개선 은 자원 제약과 운영 현실로 인해 성과 전이가 제한될 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 자동차부품 중소기업은 리 더십, 조직상황, 운용을 우선 관리영역으로 설정하고, 품질경영시스템 운영의 실효성을 단계적으로 높일 필요가 있다. 이는 중소기업의 제한된 자원을 고려한 품질경영시스템 운영 우선순위 설정에 실무적 시사점을 제공한다.
