A notable phenomenon in Korea's transition to a culturally diverse society is that the number of international students has rapidly surged over the past 25 years, making universities the areas with the highest concentration of foreigners within local communities. However, universities have faced the challenge of qualitatively improving courses and administrative services for international students. Among the issues that need to be addressed in multicultural classrooms, this study examines a case of classes where Korean students and international students have learned together. This study explores a case of multicultural education classes at B University, where international students from central Asia have surged in the last decade. It examines a regular graduate school course conducted in 2024 and 2025, applying design-based research(DBR) to facilitate interaction between Korean students and Azerbaijani international students while contributing to the local community. This study will provide foundational data as an educational case contributing to the development of teaching and learning methods in higher education institutions with multicultural and internationalized environments.

문화다양성 사회로 진입한 한국에서 주목할 만한 것은 지난 25년 동안 외국인 유학생 63배의 양적인 증가를 하면서, 대학이 지역사회에서 외국인 밀집도가 가장 높은 지 역이 되었다는 것이다. 하지만 대학은 외국인 유학생을 위한 수업과 행정을 질적으로 개선해야 하는 과제를 가지고 있다. 국제적이고 다문화적 환경의 강의실에서 다루어야 할 이슈들 중에서 본 연구는 한국인 학생과 외국인 유학생들이 함께하는 수업의 사례 를 다룬다. 본 연구는 최근 10년 동안 중앙아시아에서 오는 유학생이 급증하고 있는 어 느 대학교에서 2024년과 2025년에 진행한 일반대학원의 어느 정규교과목을 설계기반 연구를 적용하여 한국인 학생과 아제르바이잔 유학생이 교류하고 지역사회에 기여하 는 다문화교육수업의 사례를 탐구한다. 이 연구는 다문화적이고 국제화된 환경으로 가속화되고 있는 고등교육기관의 교수학습법의 발전에 기여하는 교육 사례로 기초자료 를 제공할 것이다.
