This study examines the "combat standardization" of female Marine hair regulations in the ROK Marine Corps (ROKMC), where combatants function as a "Personal Individual Combat System (PICS)". Applying Foucault's "Biopolitics", it analyzes how military bodily discipline optimizes combatants for advanced weaponry. Methodologically, it compares the ROKMC's historical 4th class of female Marines with modernized U.S. standards. Findings show current ROKMC regulations prioritize gendered appearance over operational efficiency, causing ergonomic mismatches with helmets and gas masks that compromise survivability. To establish female Marines as true "combat subjects," this study proposes redefining hair regulations as "combat standards" synchronized with PICS, transforming the body into a tactical platform integrated with weapon systems.

본 연구는 개별 전투원이 독립된 무기체계인 ‘개인전투체계(Personal Individual Combat System, PICS)’로 재정의되는 미래 전장 환경에서, 해병대 여군 두발 기준의 ‘전 투 표준성’을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 미셸 푸코(Michel Foucault)의 ‘생명정 치(Biopolitics)’ 이론을 분석 틀로 삼아, 군대의 신체 규율이 어떻게 전투원의 신체를 기술 적 표준에 최적화하는지 분석하였다. 연구 방법으로는 현행 해병대 여군 두발 규정에 대한 문헌 연구와 더불어, 해병 4기 여군 의 역사적 사례 및 미군의 현대화된 두발 기준을 비교 분석하였다. 구체적인 분석 결과, 현 행 여군 두발 기준은 군사적 효율성보다 성별화된 외형 규범(여성성 유지)에 치중되어 있으 며, 이는 첨단 헬멧 및 방독면 착용 시 인체공학적 불일치를 유발하여 상황 인식 능력과 생 존성을 저하시키는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 여군을 단순한 관리 대상이 아닌 능동적 ‘전투 주체’로 확립하기 위 해, 현행 두발 기준을 개인전투체계(PICS)의 성능을 극대화할 수 있는 ‘전투 표준’으로 재 정립할 것을 제안한다. 이는 여군의 신체를 무기체계와 동기화된 전술적 플랫폼으로 전환하 는 군사적 생명정치의 실현을 의미한다.
