Authentic Movement, grounded in Jungian analytical psychology, is understood as an embodied form of Active Imagination. This study is a theoretical inquiry that applies symbolic amplification to the recurring image of the “well” emerging in the researcher’s Authentic Movement experience. Its aim is to clarify the analytical psychological meaning structure of this image. Drawing on analytical psychology and symbolic materials from history, folklore, religion, art, myths, and folktales, the study interprets the well as a multilayered symbol structured from surface to depth. Seven dimensions are identified: (1) the well as a center of community and adaptation to reality; (2) as a site of encounter representing Eros and feeling; (3) as depletion reflecting exhausted libido; (4) as purification symbolizing regeneration and resilience; (5) as a mirror of introspection and wisdom; (6) as a dangerous cavity embodying the destructive aspect of the maternal archetype; and (7) as a psychological womb where death and rebirth converge, enabling transformation and creativity. This study proposes an analytical psychological perspective that interprets recurrent images emerging in arts psychotherapy settings not as merely personal associations but within the context of the collective unconscious, thereby offering an interpretive framework for understanding the multilayered meanings of symbolic experience.

오센틱무브먼트(Authentic Movement)는 융심리학에 토대를 둔 무용･동작치료의 한 방법론 으로, 움직임을 통해 수행되는 적극적 명상(Active imagination)의 실천 형태로 이해된다. 본 연구는 연구자의 오센틱무브먼트 체험에서 반복적으로 출현한 ‘우물’ 심상을 중심으로, 분석심 리학의 상징 확충(amplification) 방법을 적용한 이론적 고찰 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 우물 심 상의 분석심리학적 의미 구조를 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 분석심리학 문헌을 비롯하여 역 사, 민속, 종교, 예술, 설화 및 민담 등의 상징 자료를 분석틀로 활용하여, 체험 속에 출현한 우 물 상(相)에 투사된 심리적 의미를 해석하였다. 연구 결과, 우물 상징은 표층에서 심층으로 이 르는 일곱 범주로 구조화되었다. 첫째, 공동체 중심으로서 우물은 현실 적응을 위한 집단의식 과 사회적 기능을 상징한다. 둘째, 우물가에서의 만남은 에로스의 원리와 감정과의 접촉을 나 타낸다. 셋째, 고갈된 우물은 병든 에로스와 리비도의 소진을 반영한다. 넷째, 정화와 치유의 우물은 재생과 회복력의 상징이다. 다섯째, 거울로서 우물은 성찰과 지혜의 원천으로 향하는 내면 탐구를 의미한다. 여섯째, 위험한 구멍으로서 우물은 집어삼키는 모성 원형의 파괴적 측 면을 드러낸다. 마지막으로 가장 심층의 우물은 죽음과 탄생의 변환이 이루어지는 심리적 자궁 이며, 창조의 공간으로 해석된다. 본 연구는 예술심리치료 장면에서 반복적으로 출현하는 심상 을 개인적 연상에 국한하지 않고, 집단적 무의식의 맥락에서 해석하는 분석심리학적 관점을 제 시함으로써, 상징 경험의 다층적 의미를 이해하기 위한 해석적 틀을 제안한다.
