The purpose of this study is to reveal the seriousness of human rights violations experienced by Talibé children as a consequence of the dual logic exercised by Marabouts who adhere to folk Islamic traditions in Burkina Faso, West Africa, and to emphasize the fundamental importance of children’s rights. The Talibé system in Burkina Faso originated as a form of traditional Islamic education, in which the religious authority of the Marabout historically provided communal stability and moral norms. At the same time, however, under the constraints of entrenched tradition, children have been abandoned to the streets or subjected to various forms of abuse. This study argues that the Talibé system should not be understood merely as a localized social or cultural issue, but rather as a global human rights problem that demands collective international attention and response. Through this research, Korean society is presented with a meaningful opportunity to enhance international human rights awareness, contribute to cultural engagement with Africa, and fulfill its ethical responsibilities within the global community. Accordingly, an examination of the dual logic of Marabout authority and the human rights conditions of Talibé children provides a critical framework for reflecting on issues of children’s rights, educational inequality, and social exclusion within a global context.

본 연구의 목적은 서아프리카 부르키나파소의 민속 이슬람 전통을 따 르는 마라부트(Marabout)의 이중 논리로 인한 탈리베(Talibé)의 인권 침 해의 심각성을 드러내며 아동 인권의 중요성을 강조하는 데 있다. 부르키 나파소의 탈리베 제도는 이슬람교 전통 교육의 한 형태로 시작되었고 마 라부트의 종교 권위는 공동체적 안정과 도덕적 기준을 제공하는 동시에 전통이라는 굴레에 의해 아동들은 길거리에 방치되거나 학대를 당하고 있 다. 이러한 탈리베 제도는 지역 사회의 문제만이 아니라 해결해야 할 전 세계적인 인권 문제이다. 이 연구를 통해 한국 사회 역시 국제 인권 의식 을 제고하고 아프리카와의 문화 교류에 기여하며 국제적 책임을 감당할 수 있는 중요한 기회가 된다. 따라서 마라부트의 이중 논리를 규명하며 탈 리베 인권에 관한 연구는 아동 권리, 교육 불평등, 사회적 배제 등의 문제를 글로벌 맥락에서 성찰할 수 있다.
