This study reinterprets Christian liturgy beyond its confines as church traditions or repetitive ritual procedures, but as an aesthetic event that shapes the entire human personality and a place for embodied learning of faith. In particular, the rapid expansion of digital media environments and the widespread adoption of online and hybrid worship services following the COVID-19 pandemic in the 21st century have raised the need for a fundamental reexamination of the theological significance of liturgy and the structure of the worship experience. Centering on Don E. Saliers's theory of liturgical aesthetics, this study analyzes how liturgical performativity and multisensory experiences lead to the embodiment of faith and spiritual formation. To this end, this study develops three key arguments. First, it argues that liturgy transcends the performance of traditional customs and doctrines, but rather is a formative practice that imprints religious identity on the body through sensory elements and the rhythm of repetitive performance. Liturgical imagination allows us to experience the invisible reality of God's kingdom through an integrated sense of sight, hearing, touch, emotion, and cognition. This leads to the formation of embodied spirituality beyond intellectual understanding. Second, this study explores how liturgical performativity can be expanded rather than limited even in a digital media environment. While online and hybrid worship services have the limitations of physical presence, they hold the potential to create new forms of liturgical presence and communal spirituality through nonverbal symbols, multisensory participatory structures, and shared temporality and rhythm. Third, interpreting these theoretical reflections, this study constructs a hybrid Easter worship model themed on "Resurrection: Opening Closed Doors." This liturgy utilizes multisensory elements, including the tactile act of holding and setting down a stone, the reverberation of scents and sounds, and the bread and cup of the Eucharist, to suggest the process by which the faith of resurrection is transferred beyond the worship space and into the habitus of everyday life. Through this discussion, this study reveals that liturgical aesthetics possess a formative power that transcends aesthetic decoration and orients Christian life toward the values of the kingdom of God. This suggests that the Korean church should reinterpret liturgy not as a fixed form, but as a theological art performed creatively within the context of its time. Furthermore, this study raises the need for follow-up research on the historical reality and performativity in digital environments.

본 연구는 기독교 예전을 교회의 전통이나 반복되는 의례적 절차로 한정하지 않고, 인간의 전인격을 형성하는 미학적 사건이자 신앙을 몸으로 학습하는 수행의 장으로 재해석한다. 특히 21세기 COVID19 팬데믹 이후 급격히 확장된 디지털 매체 환경과 온라인 및 하이브리드 예배의 보편화는, 예전이 지니는 신학적 의미와 예배 경험의 구조를 근본적으로 재검토할 필요성을 제기하였다. 이에 본 연구는 돈 E. 샐리어스 (Don E. Saliers)의 예전 미학 이론을 중심으로, 예전의 수행성과 다감각적 경험이 어 떻게 신앙의 체화와 영성 형성으로 이어지는지를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 세 가지 핵심 논의를 전개하였다. 첫째, 예전은 전통적 관습과 교리의 수행을 넘어, 감각적 요소와 반복적 수행의 리듬을 통해 신앙적 정체성을 신체에 각인시키는 형성적 실천임을 논증하였다. 예전적 상상력은 보이지 않는 하나님 나라의 실재를 시 각과 청각, 촉각 등 감각과 정서, 인지가 통합된 방식으로 경험하게 한다. 이는 지성 적 이해를 넘어 체화된 영성의 형성으로 이어진다. 둘째, 디지털 매체 환경 속에서도 예전의 수행성은 제한되기보다 확장될 수 있음을 탐구하였다. 온라인과 하이브리드예배는 물리적 현존의 한계를 지니지만, 비언어적 상징, 다감각적 참여 구조, 공동의 시간성과 리듬을 통해 새로운 방식의 예전적 실재감과 공동체적 영성을 형성할 가능 성을 지닌다. 셋째, 이러한 이론적 성찰을 해석하여 ‘닫힌 문을 여는 부활’을 주제로 한 하이브리드 부활절 예배 모델을 구성하였다. 이 예전은 돌을 쥐고 내려놓는 촉각 적 행위, 향기와 음향의 잔향, 성찬의 떡과 잔을 포함한 다감각적 요소를 활용하여, 부활 신앙이 예배 공간을 넘어 일상의 아비투스로 전이되는 과정을 제시한다. 이러한 논의를 통해 본 연구는 예전 미학이 심미적 장식을 넘어서 그리스도인의 삶을 하나님 나라의 가치로 정향시키는 형성적 힘을 지닌다는 점을 밝힌다. 이는 한국교회가 예전 을 고정된 형식이 아니라 시대적 상황 속에서 창조적으로 수행되는 신학적 예술로 재 이해해야 함을 시사한다. 나아가 본 연구는 디지털 환경에서의 예전적 실재성과 수행 성에 관한 후속 연구의 필요성을 제기한다.
