The purpose of this study is to develop humanities liberal arts courses from the perspective of humanities literacy and to explore their implementation process. This research developed humanities liberal arts courses that utilize film as a medium, focusing on fostering humanities literacy. The study explored university students’ learning experiences during the course implementation through qualitative research methods, specifically reflective journals and in-depth interviews. The findings showed that in the initial phase of the humanities liberal arts courses, students enrolled out of interest in humanity, film, the integration of humanities and film, and the connection between humanities and their major fields of study. In the middle phase, students were found to learn an understanding of humanity, self-understanding through film appreciation, self-expression through writing, and interaction with peers through discussion. In the later phase, students demonstrated an understanding of various film genres, the embrace of diverse perspectives, a positive attitude towards themselves, initiative for their future, warmth towards others, and active engagement in interactions with others. Based on these findings, implications for humanities liberal arts courses aimed at fostering humanities literacy are suggested.

본 연구의 목적은 인문학 리터러시 관점에서 인문학 교양 강좌를 개발하고 실행 과 정을 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 인문학 리터러시에 초점을 맞춰 영화를 매체로 활용한 인문학 교양 강좌를 개발하였다. 본 연구는 인문학 교양 강좌의 실행 과정에서 질적 연구 방법인 성찰일지와 심층면담을 통하여 대학생의 학습 경험을 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, 인문학 교양 강좌 초반에 대학생은 인간, 영화, 인문학과 영화와의 접목, 인 문학과 전공학문의 연계에 대한 관심으로 수강 신청을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 인문학 교양 강좌 중반에 대학생은 인간 이해, 영화 감상을 통한 자기 이해, 글쓰기를 통한 자 기 표현, 토의를 통한 학우와의 상호작용을 학습하는 것으로 나타났다. 인문학 교양 강 좌 후반에 대학생은 다양한 영화 장르의 이해, 다양한 관점의 포용, 자신에 대한 긍정적 인 마음, 자신의 미래에 대한 개척, 타인에 대한 따뜻한 마음, 타인과 적극적인 상호작 용의 실천을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과에 기초하여 인문학 리터러시 함양 을 위한 인문학 교양 강좌에 대한 시사점을 제언하였다.
