Baekha Yun-Sun(1680–1741) was a representative intellectual and literati of the Soron faction in the late Joseon Dynasty, who established himself as an authority in the fields of calligraphy and Yangmingism[陽明學]. This study aims to shift the analytical focus toward the poet's inner world as revealed in his poetry, exploring the process by which the lyricism of his poetic literature is manifested. Specifically, the purpose of this paper is to examine the aspects of "conflict" Yun-Sun faced throughout his life and to clarify his methods of poetic response and sublimation regarding them. The concept of "conflict" presented in this study is a broad concept that contains not only macroscopic events such as factional strife or political frustration but also the microscopic psychological states of the individual, such as daily anguish, temperamental disparities, and the disharmony between ideals and reality. For this analysis, the definitive edition of Baekhajip(白下集) was used as the primary text. The discussion proceeds by identifying the sources of conflict through the complications of Yun-Sun’s life history and examining how these are transformed within his actual works. It was confirmed that Yun-Sun did not merely vent his conflicts but responded to them on three dimensions. First is solidarity with others. Yun-Sun resolved the anxiety arising from missed encounters or tough journeys through exchanges with Jieum (知音, bosom friends who understand one's mind), extending this into lifelong promise to overcome the crises of reality. Second is communion with nature. By immersing himself in a purified natural space that contrasted with the murky political reality, he obtained psychological comfort and restored inner peace through the expansion of senses such as sight and sound. Third is the acceptance and sublimation of fate. He objectively gazed at his political failures and the limit of life, finding inner stability by laying down worldly desires through an attitude of ‘Yonghoe(用晦using obscurity to hide one's light)’ and ‘Sunli (循理, abiding by natural principles)’. In conclusion, Yun-Sun’s poetry can be described as the product of an intense spirit that literarily heals inner deficiencies and the contradictions of reality while reaffirming the positive values of life. This study is significant in that it proves Yun-Sun’s aspect as a poet and his literary depth—which had been overshadowed by his reputation as a calligrapher and thinker—by deeply illuminating his literature through the lens of inner conflict and its overcoming.

백하 윤순(1680-1741)은 조선 후기 소론계 문인으로, 서예와 양명학 분야 에서 일가를 이룬 대표적인 문인이다. 본고는 시속에 나타난 윤순의 시선을 시인의 내면으로 전환하여, 윤순 시문학의 서정성이 발현되는 과정을 탐색 하고자 한다. 구체적으로는 윤순이 생애 전반에서 마주한 갈등의 양상을 고 찰하고, 이에 대한 시적 대응과 승화 방식을 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본고에서 상정하는 갈등은 당쟁이나 정치적 좌절과 같은 거시적 사건뿐 만 아니라, 일상적 번뇌, 기질적 괴리, 이상과 현실의 부조화 등 개인의 내 면적이고 미시적인 심리 상태를 포괄하는 광의의 개념이다. 분석을 위해 선 본 白下集을 주 텍스트로 삼았으며, 논의의 전개는 윤순의 생애사적 굴곡 을 통해 갈등의 원천을 파악하고, 이것이 실제 작품 속에서 어떻게 변용되 는지를 살피는 방식으로 진행하였다. 윤순은 갈등을 단순히 토로하는 데 그 치지 않고 세 가지 차원에서 대응하고 있음을 확인하였다. 첫째, 타인과의 연대이다. 윤순은 만남의 엇갈림이나 험난한 여정 속에서 발생하는 불안을 知音과의 교류를 통해 해소하고, 이를 평생의 언약으로 확장하며 현실의 위 기를 극복하였다. 둘째, 자연과의 교감이다. 혼탁한 정치 현실과 대비되는 정화된 자연 공간에 몰입함으로써 심리적 위안을 얻고 시각과 청각 등 감 각의 확장을 통해 내면의 평온을 회복하였다. 셋째, 운명에 대한 수용과 승 화이다. 그는 자신의 정치적 실패와 삶의 유한성을 객관적으로 응시하고, 이를 ‘用晦’와 ‘循理’의 자세로 받아들임으로써 세속적 갈망을 내려놓고 내 면의 안정을 찾았다. 결론적으로 윤순의 시는 내면의 결핍과 현실의 모순을 문학적으로 치유 하고 삶의 긍정적 가치를 재확인하는 치열한 정신의 소산이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 윤순의 문학을 내면적 갈등과 그 극복이라는 층위에서 심층적으 로 조명함으로써 그간 서예가나 사상가로서의 명성에 가려져 있던 윤순의 시인으로서의 면모와 그 문학적 깊이를 입증했다는 데 의의가 있다.
