In these days, we could encounter postmodern phenomena easily in everyday life and culture. Generally speaking, postmodernism debts to Nietzche in rehabilitating the earth and body those are the principal postmodern characteristics. Ironically, the cyber space, in which the great majority of postmodern communications occur, shows a tendency to threaten the meanings of the earth, body and every day life. Especially we would focus on the problems of communication in cyber space. First of all, the fatal dangers in the communication stem chiefly from the hyper realities of the cyber space which have some clear tendencies to take the place of realities of diverse things and bodies. In these matter, we should rehabilitate the meaning of encounter in the diverse experiences. We believe, we could catch some clue to solve these problem in reinterpreting the thought of Choi Han-Ki, the philosopher of the end era of Yi Dynasty, Korea. Philosopher Choi suggest some special kinds of Encounters which need some excellent adapted skills in meeting diverse changing situations. He regarded communications as the most important things we should meet in our lives. Of course, the problems of meeting make some difficulties in cyber space, but we could find some way to get tide over those problems with the help of Choi's philosophical concepts. We believe his concept, adapted encounter which reminds us of Aristotelian Phronesis would be excellent method in solving the communication problems in cyber spaces.

이제 우리 삶의 곳곳에는 명확하게 포스트모더니즘이라고 단정지을만한 삶의 양식들이 목도된다. 한때는 수입사조처럼 낯설었으나 어느새 우리가 그 안에 깊숙이 들어서 있는 시대정신으로 자리잡게된 것이다. 우리가 여기서 특별하게 주목하고자 하는 것은 포스트모던적 조건 안에서의 소통의 양식이다. 놀랍게도 인터넷이나 휴대폰을 통해 이루어지는 사이버 공간에서의 소통은 포스트모던적이면서도 동시에 가장 반-포스트모던적이라는 모순된 양면의 얼굴을 갖고 있다. 니체의 사유에 빚지고서 얻게 된 이 시대사조의 종요는 육체와 대지의 부활이다. 그런데 이런 포스트모더니즘의 핵심 메시지는 가장 포스트모던적인 소통 공간인 사이버 공간에서 다양한 방식으로 폄하, 억압, 거부되고 있는 것이다. 본 소론이 주목하는 것은 이러한 모순이다. 모든 소통기호가 전류의 끊김과 흐름, 1과 0의 기호로 연산되어 전달되는 사이버 공간 안에서의 소통이 어떻게 다시 살과 뼈를 갖는 육체의 인간들, 그들의 숨결, 미소, 눈짓들, 그런 것들만이 소통해낼 수 있는 따뜻함과 간절함을 다시 복원해낼 수 있을까. 본 소론은 그 해결점을 조선말 철학자 혜강 최한기의 사유에서 그 가능성을 모색해보고자 한다. 요컨대 혜강의 변통개념은 철두철미 하늘과 인간과 대지, 이 삼자가 소통의 트라이앵글을 구축하는 총체적 소통개념이다. 포스트모던적 소통공간인 사이버 세계가 그토록 황폐되어갈 수밖에 없는 것은 그것이 이러한 하늘, 인간, 대지의 총체적 삼각구도 바깥에 연관의 플러그가 뽑힌 채 내팽개쳐져있기 때문이다. 말하자면 그 소통 공간은 다시금 우리 삶 안에서 변통해냄으로써 다시 인간화시켜야할 또 다른 세계인 것이다.
