This study empirically analyzes the impact of South Korea's multi-mode public transport network on innovative economic activities as economic base using the 1-km grid network based on P-space. It adopts the negative binomial regression to examine the relationship between the public transportation accessibility and the innovative economic activities which is an economic base of a region’s prosperity. The results indicate that harmonic closeness centrality significantly enhances the innovative economic activities. This paper underscores that public transportation is a critical factor for the innovative economic activities which is a key ingredient of a region’s economic sustainable development. It suggests that public transportation should be well provided to promote the innovative economic development.
