This study aimed to explore the school counseling experience of lower elementary school students from the counselor's perspective. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 school counselors working at elementary schools in three cities: K City, P City, and U City, and the data were analyzed using the consensual qualitative research method (CQR). As a result of the analysis, areas such as ‘the process of counseling for low-grade elementary school students’, ‘the characteristics of counseling for low-grade elementary school students and the counselor factors that led to positive changes’, ‘the surrounding cooperation system’, ‘the meaning of counseling for low-grade elementary school students’ and ‘the satisfaction of counselors for counseling for low-grade elementary school students’ were derived. This study is meaningful in that it provided practical and field-oriented data by seeking practical support measures for an in-depth understanding of school counseling for lower-grade elementary school students and effective counseling and guidance intervention required for school counselors.

본 연구는 초등 저학년 학생의 학교상담 경험을 상담자 관점에서 탐색해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 K시, P시, U시 총 3개 시의 초등학교에서 근무하고 있는 학교 상담자 10명을 연구 대 상으로 하여 심층 면접을 했고, 합의적 질적 연구방법(CQR: Consensual Qualitative Research)으로 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, ‘초등 저학년 학생 상담의 진행 과정’, ‘초등 저학년 학생 상 담의 특징과 긍정적 변화를 이끈 상담자 요인’, ‘주변 협력체계’, ‘초등 저학년 학생 상담의 의미’, ‘초등 저학년 학생 상담에 대한 상담자 만족도’의 영역이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 초등 저학년 학생의 학교상담에 대한 심층적 이해와 학교 상담자에게 필요한 효과적인 상담 및 지도 개입을 위해 현실적인 지원방안을 모색함으로써 실질적이고 현장 중심적인 자료 제공 을 했다는 데 의의가 있다.
