Background: Korean Society has entered into a multiethnic/multicultural society. With increase of married immigrants women every year, it is required to educate the Hyo culture of Korean traditional culture in order to settle down stably in Korea. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the main perspective of assimilation in Hyo cultural education to married immigrant women, to review the main perspectives of multiculturalism and interculturalism in Western society, and the applicability of them to Hyo culture education. Methodology/Approach: With the literature review, this study identified the existing assimilation perspective of Hyo education, the main perspectives of multiculturalism and interculturalism, and the applicability of perspectives of multiculturalism and interculturalism to Hyo education culture. Findings/Conclusions: In the basis of cultural diversity, the Hyo culture education could be a desirable one with the education of respecting and recognizing the itself and her country’s own Hyo relating culture, and be a further desirable Hyo education hybriding dual Hyo education culture, Of course, this needs to be participation of all family members in Hyo culture education. Implications: In spite of the Hyo culture education to married immigrant women deserve to considerd in the dimension of culture education, the established Hyo culture education could be a one way adaptation to Korean society, but now, with the trends of era in Korea society this study identified that it can be also applied into multiculturalism and interculturalism beyond the assimilation to Hyo culture education.

배경: 한국사회는 이제 다인종/다문화 사회로 진입하기 시작했다. 결혼이주여성들이 매년 증가하는 한국 사회에서 안정적인 정착을 위해 한국의 전통문화인 효문화에 대한 교육이 요구된다. 목적: 본 연구는 문화적 다양성을 바탕으로 기존에 결혼이주여성에 대한 효문화교육의 주요 기반인 동화 주의의 기본 관점에 대해 점검하고, 이를 넘어서는 다문화주의와 상호문화주의를 검토하여, 효문화교육에 다문화주의나 상호문화주의적 관점의 적용가능성을 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법론/접근 : 관련 문헌검토를 통해 결혼이주여성에 대한 효문화교육의 주요 관점을 확인하고, 서구의 다문화주의와 상호문화주의의 주요 관점을 검토한 후, 효문화교육에 다문화주의와 상호문화주의적 관점 의 적용가능성을 검토하였다. 결과/결론 : 문화적 다양성을 기반으로 효문화교육은 한국의 효문화뿐만 아니라 모국의 관련 문화를 존 중하고 인정하는 교육, 더 나아가 두 나라의 효문화교육을 혼합한 바람직한 효문화교육이 적용될 수 있 다. 다만, 이 경우 효문화교육의 대상에는 가족구성원 모두가 반드시 포함되어야 한다. 시사점 : 결혼이주여성에 대한 효문화교육은 문화교육 차원에서 당연히 고려되어야 할 주제이지만 기존 에 효문화교육은 동화주의에 기반하여 한국사회로의 일방적인 적응의 차원이었다면, 이제는 한국사회의 시대적 흐름에 맞춰 효문화교육에서도 동화주의를 넘어서는 다문화주의나 상호문화주의적 관점을 적용할 수 있다는 점을 확인하였다.
