This study analyzes Kim Hyesoon’s poetics and poetic embodiment, focusing on key concepts such as “water,”“whirlpools,” and “mandalas” to explore the relationship between her poetic theories and her poetry. Kim’s poetics delve into the identity of women's poetry and the essence of poetic language, defining the fluidity and cyclic nature of water as central elements of femininity. Additionally, she emphasizes the “chaotic temporality,” which is poetically represented through the images of “mandalas” and “whirlpools.” In the poems Find an Exit and Sad Circus, the imagery of water is intertwined with femininity, while Entering the Fourfold Text reveals a multilayered temporal structure that connects the speaker’s inner world with external reality. This study organizes the major concepts of Kim’s poetics, examines their theoretical significance, and explores their connection to her poetry, demonstrating that her work extends beyond feminist discourse to establish a unique poetic structure and philosophical inquiry.

본 연구는 김혜순의 시론과 시적 형상화 양상을 분석하며, 그의 시 세계를 구성하는 핵심 개념인 ‘물’, ‘소용돌이’, ‘만다라’ 등을 중심으로 시론과 시의 관계를 논의하였다. 김혜순 시론은 여성시의 정체성과 시적 언어의 본질을 탐구하며, 물의 유동성과 순환성을 여성성의 핵심 요소로 설정한다. 또한 ‘카오스적 시간성’을 강조하며, 이는 ‘만다라’와 ‘소용돌 이’의 이미지로 시에서 형상화된다. 시 ｢출구를 찾아라｣, ｢슬픈 서커스｣ 에서는 여성성과 물의 이미지가 결합되며, ｢네 겹의 텍스트 안으로 들어 가기｣에서는 다층적 시간 구조를 통해 시적 주체의 내면과 외부 세계가 연결된다. 본 연구는 김혜순 시론의 주요 개념들을 정리하고 그 이론의 의미와 실제 시와의 연관성을 고찰하여 그의 시가 단순한 여성주의 담론 을 넘어 독창적인 시적 구조와 철학적 사유를 형성하고 있음을 밝히는 데 주력하였다.
