This descriptive survey study aimed to identify health and safety management practices, knowledge, and training needs of childcare teachers caring for infants and young children. From March to September 2025, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 129 childcare teachers working in national/public, corporate, workplace, and private childcare centers in J Province. The mean scores were: safety-management practices 3.86±0.42, health knowledge 4.95±1.28, safety knowledge 13.47±2.54, and health & safety training needs 3.96±0.41. Health and safety training needs differed significantly by education level, work experience, and by experience of safety incidents. Based on this study, a health and safety education system should be established so that childcare teachers can sustainably and proactively participate in training, and practical human, social, and financial support measures for caregiving should be sought.

본 연구는 영유아를 돌보는 보육 교사의 건강·안전 관리 실태, 지식, 교육 요구를 파악하기 위해 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. J도 국공립, 법인, 직장, 민간 보육 시설에 근무하는 보육교사 129명을 대상으로 2025년 3월부터 9월까지 설문 조사를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 안전 관리 실천 3.86±0.42, 건강 지식 4.95±1.28, 안전 지식 13.47±2.54, 건강·안 전 교육 요구는 3.96±0.41점이었다. 간호사 상주하는 경우(t=0.96, p=.041), 불안감(t=0.37, p=.040), 안전사고 경험 (t=0.37, p=.024)이 있는 경우 안전 관리 실천에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 건강·안전 교육 요구는 학사 이상(F=1.32, p=.002), 5년 이하 또는 >5~10년(F=7.58, p=.001), 안전사고에 대한 경험이 있는 경우(t=1.61, p=.039)에서 유의한 차이 를 보였다. 본 연구를 토대로 보육 교사가 지속가능하며 능동적으로 교육에 참여할 수 있도록 건강·안전 관리 교육 체계를 구축하도록 하고 돌봄을 위한 인적·사회적·경제적 지원의 실제 대응 방안을 모색해야 한다.
