At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the system of providing food for travelers from postal delivery system was established, which played an important role in ensuring the stable operation of the postal delivery system. The book “A Record of Drifting Across the Sea” written by Korean Confucian scholar Choi Pu provides a detailed record of his experiences and observations during his time in China due to a maritime disaster. The records related to food supply system are quite rich, specifically involving food supply certificate, food title, food supply standard, food supply subject, food supply time limit, food supply content and audit system. This provides extremely valuable first-hand historical materials for studying the operation of this system in practice. Therefore, this article attempts to use the “A Record of Drifting Across the Sea” as the core historical material, combined with relevant laws and regulations, to compare and analyze each other, in order to make a detailed examination of the Ming Dynasty’s food supply system.

명나라가 건국되며 역전(驛傳)을 통해 공무 수행자에게 식량을 지급하는 늠 급제도를 마련하였는데, 이는 역전 체계의 안정적 운영을 담보하는 중요한 장 치로 기능하였다. 조선 유신 최부(崔溥)가 해난으로 중국에 표착해 체류하는 동안의 경과와 견문을 기록한 󰡔표해록󰡕에는 늠급에 관한 서술이 매우 상세하 게 남아 있다. 구체적으로는 늠급의 증빙 문서, 급식 명칭, 지급 기준, 공급 주 체, 지급 기간, 지급 내용, 그리고 감찰·점검 장치에 이르기까지 다각의 요소를 상세히 전하고 있어, 해당 제도가 실제로 운영된 양상을 추적할 수 있는 일 급 사료로 평가된다. 이에 본고는 󰡔표해록󰡕을 핵심 사료로 삼아 관련 법典과 상호 대조함으로써, 명대 늠급 제도의 법적 근거와 운용 방식, 그리고 제도적 의의를 종합적으로 고찰하고자 한다.

明代伊始，便设立了由驿传向公差使客供应伙食的廪给制度，该制度 对于驿传系统的平稳运行起着重要的保障作用. 朝鲜儒臣崔溥所著《漂海 录》详尽记录了其因海难漂至中国期间的经历与见闻，其中有关廪给方 面的记载相当丰富，具体涉及到廪给凭据、伙食称谓、廪给标准、廪给 主体、廪给时限、廪给内容以及稽核制度等，从而为研究该制度在实践 中的运行提供了极为珍贵的一手个案史料. 故本文试以《漂海录》为核心 史料，结合相关的律典互为比勘，以对明代廪给制度作一详尽考论.
