This study explores how the rapid advancement of AI technologies is reshaping acting practices and pedagogical paradigms within the film and content industries. Recent developments such as deepfake, digital humans, and virtual production have redefined the traditional production environment, transforming not only performance expression but also the entire system of actor training. These transformations present a dual challenge—the expansion of acting as an art form and the innovation of education as a creative process. Grounded in Jenkins’s (2008) theory of Convergence Culture and Atkinson’s (2014) concept of Beyond the Screen, this study analyzes the transformation of bodily, emotional, and cognitive expressions in AI-mediated acting through the practical frameworks of Trevor Rawlins (2010) and Levchenko and Pasichnyk (2021). By examining performances across multiple media forms including film, VR, AR, streaming platforms, and virtual stages the study investigates how AI technologies affect actor training, evaluation, and feedback systems. Based on these findings, it proposes a techno-pedagogical model of acting education aligned with the evolving demands of the AI-driven content industry. This research extends previous discussions focused on legal and ethical issues in AI acting to construct an integrated discourse linking industry, education, and art. By redefining acting education as a core component of creative labor in the content industry, it offers a practical framework for reimagining the actor’s role, agency, and learning methodology within the emerging AI media ecosystem.
