This study critically analyzes the impact of the 'Major-Free Admission' policy, which, intended to foster 'convergent talents,' has paradoxically intensified student concentration in popular majors and exacerbated student alienation. This paper directly confronts these issues by proposing a pedagogical methodology that utilizes humanities-based media to foster self-reflection, cultivate interdisciplinary thinking, and build an intellectual community. A curriculum centered on media such as films, webtoons, and games acts as a powerful conduit for interdisciplinary learning, connecting abstract knowledge to real-world contexts. The shared exploration of this media can restore students' sense of belonging and academic identity, laying the groundwork for an intellectual community. The study details an integrated 'Cornerstone-Keystone-Capstone' educational framework, designed to guide students’ progressive academic development, emphasizes participatory teaching methods, and argues for the necessity of robust institutional support. It concludes that a liberal arts education revitalized by humanities-based media is a key strategy for universities to re-emerge as communities of critical inquiry in the major-free era, establishing a foundation for a distinctive Korean liberal arts model.

본 연구는 ‘전공자율선택제’ 도입이 대학 교양교육에 미치는 영향을 비판적으로 분석하고, 인문콘텐츠 기반의 대안적 교육 모델을 제안한다. 정부의 ‘융합인재 양성’ 목표와 달리, 이 제도는 소수 인기 전공으로의 쏠림 현상과 학생들의 소외를 심화시키는 역설을 낳고 있다. 이에 본고는 인문콘텐츠를 매개로 자기 성찰, 통 합적 사유, 공동체 형성을 유도하는 교육 방법론을 통해 이 문제들에 직접적으로 대응한다. 영화, 웹툰, 게임 등 인문콘텐츠 중심의 교양 교육과정은 학문 간 경계 를 넘나드는 학습을 촉진하고, 추상적 지식을 현실 세계의 맥락과 연결하는 강력한 매개가 된다. 이러한 콘텐츠를 함께 탐구하는 경험은 학생들의 소속감과 학문적 정체성을 회복시켜 지적 공동체의 기반을 마련할 수 있다. 본 연구는 학생의 점진적 성장을 지원하는 ‘코너스톤-키스톤-캡스톤’으로 이어지는 통합 교육 모델을 구 체화하고, 참여적 교수법의 필요성을 강조하며 이를 위한 제도적 지원의 중요성을 역설한다. 결론적으로, 인문콘텐츠 기반 교양교육은 무전공 시대에 대학이 비판 적 사유와 인간적 성찰의 공동체로 재도약하기 위한 핵심 전략이며, 한국형 교양교육 모델 정립의 초석이 될 것이다.
