In correspondence with Columbus and Martins, the priest of the King of Portugal, Toscanelli, the physician of the Holy See, talked about many details of his conversation with the Chinese envoys who met with the Pope. At the request of the King of Portugal, he drew a chart showing the route to the Indies, the islands along the way and the distance to be sailed. He sent a copy to Columbus as part of his reply, encouraging him to sail west. All his knowledge, thoughts and achievements are closely related to the output of the thought achievements of Zheng He's mission when they visted to Florence.
