Purpose : This study analyzes the overall status of domestic trade payment methods (focusing on export payment methods) and focuses on the current status and causes of D/A payment use by domestic exporters. Through this, we aim to propose practical and effective strategies for managing credit risks arising from D/A transactions. Research design, data, methodology : Using export-related data based on export/import declarations and export payment information related to K-SURE's short-term export insurance underwriting, we analyze the overall status of export payment methods and the current status and causes of D/A payment use by domestic exporters by country and industry. Results : D/A payment methods vary by industry. The transportation equipment industry showed a particularly high proportion of D/A payments, at 45%. Among major exporters, D/A is most prevalent in exports to the United States. Conclusions : The D/A method, which carries a very high credit risk for export companies in certain countries and certain industries, is increasing. This high proportion of D/A exports exposes domestic export companies to higher credit risk overall. Therefore, this study proposes a risk reduction plan that takes into account the characteristics of the D/A method.

본 연구는 국내 무역결제방식(수출결제방식을 중심으로)의 전반적인 현황을 분석하고, 특히 국내 수출기업의 D/A 결제방식 사용 실태와 원인에 초점을 맞춰 논의를 진행하고자 한다. 이 를 위해 수출입신고서 내용을 근거로 한 수출 관련 데이터와 K-SURE의 단기수출보험 인수와 관련된 수출결제정보 데이터를 사용하여 수출결제방식의 전체 현황과 국내 수출기업들의 국 가별 산업별 D/A 방식 사용실태와 원인을 분석하고자 한다. 분석 결과, D/A 결제방식은 산업별로 상이한 양상을 보이고 있는데, 특히 수송장비 산업에서 D/A 비중이 전체 45%로 매우 높게 나타났으며, 주요 수출국 중에서는 미국으로의 수출에서 D/A 방식의 사용이 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같이 특정국과 특정 산업에서 수출기업에게 신용리스크가 매우 높은 D/A 방식이 증가 하고 있으며, 이러한 높은 D/A 수출 비중은 국내 수출기업이 전반적으로 더 높은 신용 위험에 노출되어 있기 때문에 본 연구에서는 D/A 방식의 특성을 고려한 리스크 절감방안을 제안하였다.
