This study aimed to investigate the necessity of school library-centered programs to enhance the perception of school libraries among teachers and school administrators. To achieve this, prior research and in-depth interviews were conducted to examine teachers' and administrators' awareness of the necessity of school libraries, their perception of curricular and extracurricular roles, and to explore the direction of school library programs. The research findings indicated that activities and programs supported by the school library improved teachers' and school administrators' perception of the school library. It was confirmed that the operation of classes supporting problem-solving, user support activities, and frequency of visits positively influenced teachers' and administrators' awareness of the necessity of the school library, as well as their perception of its curricular and extracurricular roles. Furthermore, the study verified that the use of information resources and human resources centered around the school library influenced the improvement of the perception of the professional role of teacher librarians. Finally, this study concluded that there was a need for developing classes to enhance the perception of the school library's role in the curricular domain.

본 연구는 교사와 학교 관리자의 학교도서관 인식 제고를 위해 학교도서관 중심의 프로그램 필요성을 연구하 는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구와 심층면담을 통해 학교도서관 활동에 따른 교사와 학교 관리자의 필요성 인 식, 교과영역 인식, 비교과영역 인식을 알아보고 학교도서관 프로그램의 방향성에 대하여 모색했다. 연구 결과, 학교 도서관에서 지원하는 활동 및 프로그램 등에 의해 교사와 학교 관리자의 학교도서관 인식이 향상되는 것으로 나타났 다. 과제해결 지원 수업 운영 여부, 이용지원 활동, 방문 횟수 등에 따라 교사와 학교 관리자의 학교도서관 필요성 인 식, 교과영역 인식, 비교과영역 인식이 긍정적인 결과를 나타내는 것을 확인했다. 또한 학교도서관을 중심으로 한 정 보자료 이용, 인적자원 활용 등이 사서교사의 전문적 역할 인식 향상에 영향을 미침을 확인했다. 마지막으로 본 연구 는 학교도서관 중심의 교과영역 인식 향상을 위한 수업 개발이 필요하다고 보았다.
