This study analyzes the thematic trends and directions of dance studies by applying text mining techniques to research articles published in the Korean Journal of Dance Studies over the past ten years (2015–2024). A total of 295 articles were selected as the research subjects, and keyword frequency analysis and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)-based topic modeling were conducted focusing on article titles. The analysis revealed that the most frequently occurring keywords were “education,” “university students,” “arts,” “major,” and “participation.” Based on the results, four primary research topics were identified: , , , and . Notably, there was a significant increase in the number of publications in 2020, which is interpreted as a result of the combined influence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the expansion of the journal’s publication frequency. This study serves as a foundational reference for understanding the academic identity and direction of dance studies and may contribute to the development of future research topics and strategic planning for academic societies.

본 연구는 최근 10년간(2015~2024) 한국무용학회지에 게재된 논문들을 대상으로 텍스트 마이닝(Text Mining) 기법 을 활용하여, 무용학 연구의 주제 흐름과 방향성을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 총 295편의 논문이며, 논문 제목 을 중심으로 키워드 빈도 분석과 LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation) 기반 토픽 모델링을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, ‘교육’, ‘대학생’, ‘예술’, ‘전공’, ‘참여’ 등이 가장 높은 빈도를 보였으며, 도출된 주요 연구 토픽은 다음과 같이 네 가지로 분류 되었다. <토픽 1. 공연 예술과 신체 표현>, <토픽 2. 대학 무용교육과 진로>, <토픽 3. 지역사회와 참여 무용>, <토픽 4. 무용을 통한 사회적 경험과 의미>이다. 특히 2020년에는 논문 수가 급증한 현상이 나타났으며, 이는 코로나19 팬 데믹과 학회지 발간 주기 확대 등의 복합적 요인에서 기인한 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 무용학의 정체성과 학술 적 방향성을 점검하고, 향후 연구 주제 발굴 및 학회 운영 전략 수립을 위한 기초자료로써 활용될 수 있다.
