This study examines the formation of female subjectivity and patterns of resistance in the novels of Li Hye-seon, a representative Korean-Chinese writer, through the lenses of feminist theory and diaspora literature. It aims to elucidate the literary-historical significance of the unique existential conditions and identity formation processes depicted in her works. The analysis focuses on how female subjects experience complex conflicts and pursue autonomous practices within environments where patriarchal social structures intersect with ethnic minority status. Through an examination of Li Hye-seon’s major works including “Red Shadow”, “Woman Going into the Night Scene”, and “Each Other’s Prison”, this research investigates the dual alienation experienced by Korean-Chinese women in diasporic conditions and their processes of overcoming these challenges. The findings reveal that female characters in these novels, while experiencing complex conflicts at the intersection of patriarchal oppression and ethnic hierarchy, are portrayed as active agents who seek autonomous lives based on their own desires and will. This process unfolds through three distinct stages: first, resistance to gender norms through awareness and expression of sexual desire; second, embodiment of new female identities that transcend the traditional ideal of the “wise mother and good wife” and third, establishment of female agency against the backdrop of diminishing male authority. By meticulously analyzing the internal logic of Li Hye-seon’s novels, this study provides a new interpretive framework that transcends the male-centered and ethnocentric biases in existing Korean-Chinese literary research, thereby contributing to a reevaluation of the literary-historical significance of Korean-Chinese women’s literature.

본 연구는 페미니즘 이론과 디아스포라 문학의 관점에서 조선족 작가 리혜선의 소설에 나타난 여성 주체성 형성 및 저항 양상을 고찰하여, 그 특수한 실존적 조건 과 자아의식 형성의 문학사적 의의를 규명하고자 하였다. 특히 가부장적 사회 구 조와 민족적 소수자 위치가 교차하는 환경 속에서 여성 주체가 경험하는 복합적 갈등과 이를 극복하는 주체적 실천의 양상을 중심으로 분석을 진행하였다. 리혜선의 『빨간그림자』, 『야경으로 가는 여자』, 『서로의 감옥』 등 주요 작품을 중 심으로 조선족 여성들이 디아스포라적 조건 속에서 경험하는 이중적 소외와 극복 과정을 고찰한 결과, 소설속 여성 인물들은 가부장제 사회의 억압적 구조와 민족 적 위계가 교차하는 지점에서 복합적 갈등을 경험하면서도 어떻게 자신의 욕망과 의지를 바탕으로 주체적 삶을 모색하는 능동적 존재로 형상화되었는지 다음과 같 은 세가지 단계를 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 성적 욕망의 자각과 표현을 통한 젠더 규범의 저항, 둘째, 전통적 ‘현모양처’상을 넘어서는 새로운 여성상의 구현, 셋째, 남성의 권위 실추를 배경으로 한 여성 주도권의 확립이다. 본 연구는 리혜선 소설의 내적 논리를 면밀히 분석함으로써, 기존 조선족 문학 연구의 남성 중심적, 민족 중심적 편향을 넘어서는 새로운 해석의 틀을 제시하고, 조선족 여성문학이 지닌 문학사적 의의를 재조명하는 데 기여하고자 한다.
