The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing the employment duration of workers injured in industrial accidents using data from the second cohort of the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Panel. Kaplan-Meier survival curves and Cox proportional hazards models were used to empirically analyze variations in employment continuation. Independent variables included sex, age, educational attainment, disablitiy status, certification acquisition, and self-esteem. The results show that those in their 40s and 50s, those with higher levels of education, those with qualifications, those with no disability levels, and those with higher self-esteem had significantly higher chances of remain employed. The study highlights the importance of both demographic and psychosocial characteristics in employment duration for injured workers. Based on these findings, policy recommendations include expanding programs that support vocational training, psychological and social interventions, and customized return to work support for vulnerable groups.

이 연구의 목적은 산재보험패널 2차 코호트 자료를 활용하여 산재근로자의 고용지속에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 Kaplan-Meier 생존곡선과 Cox 회귀분석을 활용하여 고용지속 관련 변화 를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 성별, 연령, 학력, 장해등급 여부, 자격증 보유 여부, 자아존중감을 투입하여 분 석한 결과, 연령이 40~50대이며, 최종학력이 높을수록, 자격증을 보유한 경우, 장해등급이 없는 경우, 자 아존중감이 높을수록 고용지속 가능성이 유의미하게 높았다. 이 연구는 산재근로자의 고용지속에 영향을 주는 요인을 인구통계학적 및 심리사회적 특성 요인을 투입하여 밝힌 것에 의의가 있으며, 고용지속을 위 해 자격 취득 및 역량 향상을 위한 훈련 지원, 심리사회적 개입, 취약계층 대상 맞춤형 복귀지원 등 프로 그램 확대가 필요함을 제언하였다.
