This study looked at pop-up stores among various channels as a communication channel between brands and consumers. In fact, many brands operate experimental pop-up stories, and this study was conducted to understand the factors that can enjoy strategic implications in these operations. This study conducted a case analysis centering on pop-up stores conducted by actual companies, and the brand selected as an example was KW Books’ pop-up store. The characteristics of the pop-up store that it operated in 2024 were combined with the theory of the experiential economy model proposed in the books of Fine and Gilmore (1999) to analyze the composition and elements of the pop-up story content. In the analysis, the analysis was conducted focusing on the composition, story, music, and event of each space. As a result of the study, the pop-up store run by KW Books showed the philosophy of KW Books as a book brand and the worldview that each story develops and aims for in real space, not imagination, while immersing themselves in various related stories and events and voluntarily tabbing and sharing details on their SNS. In particular, the characteristics of visitors that stood out in this study were realizing brand immersion and brand expandability through organic connection without boundaries between digital media and offline stores. The results of the case analysis examined in this study showed that pop-up stores are not just the concept of a sales store, but are functioning as a platform for consumers to emotionally bond with brands, solidify their brand image, and strengthen brand assets. This study can provide practical implications for sensory experience design in a rapidly changing digital change environment and contribute to expanding the possibility of using pop-up stores in communication strategies for brand management in the future.
